MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF
THE }R;SIDENT AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, JUNE 12, J_951
The meeting was called to order by }resident
Pendleton at 8:10 F.M. In the absence of the Village
Clerk, Trustee Lams was appointed Clerk Pro Tem. The
roll was then called and the following Trustees answered,
"Present ": Bayne, Brown, Goodling, Hartwig, Ibbot‘son
and Lams. Absent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held June
5th were then read. h motion was made by Trustee
Hartwig, seconded by Brown, that the minutes be approved
as read. The President put the question and the roll
was called with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays:
None. Thereupon the } resident declared the motion
carried.
The Treasurer's Report for the period end n.P
May '1, 1951 was then read. A motion was made by
Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Brown, that the report be
approved end placed on file. The President rut the
question and the roll was called with the fo11owing
results: Ayes: Ai]; Nays: N„ne. Thereupon the
}'resident declared the motion carried.

2 4 A motion was made by `trustee Brown, seconded by
Ibbottson, that the Srecial. Assessments Report be
Placed on file. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
A motion was then made by Trustee I•ams,
seconded by Bayne, that the bills for the month of
May es approved by the Finance Committee be a ^rroved
for payment. The President put the nuestion and the
roll was called with the following results: Ayes:
all; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The motion was made by Trustee GOodlinp,
seconded by Hartwig, that in accordance with the
Amended water ordinance, the 45.00 deposit be refunded
to qualified consumers as listed by Water Rate
Collector, may 71, 1951. . The President put the
question and the roll was called with the foil owing
results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereuron the
President declared the motion carried.
A motion was then made by `Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Lams, that the request for foreclosure
of lot 14 in Block 71 of Prospect Park Country Club
Sub - Division be left to the Village Attorney to draw
up the proper .resolution. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The following letter was then read:

Mr. Pendleton, Village President
and Village Trustees
A new position offered my by Essex Wire Corp.
in Marion, Indiana maked it necessary for me to
request my resignation from the Prat. Prospect
Village Board of Trustees. 1 regret very much
that I cannot continue as a Trustee, because in
the very short time I have been in office I
have learned that the other members of the Board
are very fine gentlemen to work with and I only
wish that all citizens of the Village could be
told how much time and effort each member
contributes to their welfare.
I want to thank a11 of you for the fire treat-
ment I have received at the several meetings
I have been able to attend.
Trustee, S.C. Goodlinp
A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig,
seconded by Ibbrttson, that Trustee Goodling's resipna-
tion be accepted with regret. The motion was voted
upon by acclamation, -thereupon the rresident declared
the motion carried.
The following communication was then read:

Gentlemen:
To fill e vacancy caused by the resipnetion of
Mr. Spurpeon Goodlinp, I hereby nominate Mr.
James W. Viper for the office of Village Trustee
to serve until the next repular election in
April 1957.

Trustinp that this nomination will meet with vr,ur `
favorable action, and firm in the conviction that
Mr. Viper will serve the Village in the best
tradition of the members of this Board, 1 am

Village of Mt. Prospect
A motion was then made by Trustee Hartwig
seconded by Ibbottson, that Mr. James a. Viper be
appointed to act as Village Trustee and to serve on
the Hoard of Trustees until the next regular Village
Election in April, 1957. The President rut the nuestion
and the roll was called with the following results:
Ayes: Ail; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared . the motion carried.
There being no further business to cone
before the meeting, a motion wns made by Trustee Brown,
seconded by hartwip, that the meeting be adjourned.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereuron
the President declared the motion carried and meetinp
regularly adjourned.
