HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/03/1951 VB minutes THE MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON TUESDAY, JULY 7, 1951 The meetinp was called to order by President Pendleton at 8:10 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed to call the roll. 0 roll call the following Trustees snswered "Present ": B ayne, Brown, Ihbotson, Lams, and Viper. Trustee Hertwip was absent. The Clerk then reed the minutes of the regular meeting held June 12, 1951. A motion wag made by Trustee Brown, seconded by Lams, that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the question end the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Aves: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read ordinance No 745 entitled "THE ANNUAL APFROPRIATION BILL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGIIN1NING MAY 1, 1951 AND ENDING APRIL 70, 1952." A motion was made by Trustee Lams seconded by Bayne, that the ordinnnce be ressed. The President put the Question and the Clerk called the roll with the .following results; Aves: Trustees Bayne, Brown, Ibbottson Lams, and Viper. Nays: None. Trustee Hartwig, absent. i'hereuron the President declared the motion carried and said ORDINANCE passed end approved. The Clerk then read e letter. dated May 16, 1951 from the Mount Frosrect Library Board, together with the annual report or the Library Boerd ror the veer ending '"pm April 70, 1951. The report was accepted ns presented end p1n ced on file. Resolution N,,. 11 -51 entitled "A RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF ARTERIAL STR +LETS OR STATE HIGH•WVAYS BY MUNICIPALITIES UNDER THE MOTOR FUEL TAX LAW" was then reed. A motion was made by Trustee Lams seconded by Viper, that the resolution be adopted. The President put the Question and the Clerk called the roll With the following results: Ayes: 1 +11; Neys: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried end said resolution adopted. July 3, 1951 246 A motion was then made by Trustee Lams, secon b Bayne, that the Villat�e Clerk be instructed to write the physicians in the Mount Prospect area, ceiling to their Attention or.dinsnce No. 288 regarding the rerorting of contagious diseases to our local. Board o f Heelth. The motion was voted uror by acclamation whereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Ibbottson, secorded by Lams, that the 420 linuor license fees raid by the mount Prospect Fire Department ( covering licenses during the reriod of their carnival be refunded, as in previous years.
