MINUTES OF A SFECItAL MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT ALL BOARD OF
TRUSTEES HELD IN THE rUNICIPAL
BUILDL TG, MOULT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON VEDNESDAY, S.P TMBER 19, 1951
The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton at 8:00 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll.
On roll call the following 'Trustees answered
"Present": Bayne, Brown, Ibbotson, Larns, Lange and Viper.
Absent: None.
The clerk then read the following communications:
Sept. 15, 1951

Village of Mt. Prospect
Mt. Prospect, I11.
Dear Mr. Milligan
Please call a meeting of the Village Board of
Trustees to be held aednesday evening, September
19th, at 8 P.M. in the Municipal Building.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider the arpeal
of the Texas Company in the refusal of the Building
Committee to grant a - building permit as applied for.
The Board will also take up any other business that
will be properly brought up.

Gentlemen:
Under direction of. President Pendleton, you ere
hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the Board
September 19, 1951
258 of Trustees will be held on ►Jednesady, September 19,
at 8:00 P.M. in the Municipal Building.
This meeting was called for the purpose of consider-
ing the application for a building permit for the
construction of a service station at Lmerson Street
and Northwest Highway by. the Texas Company; also to
conduct any other business that may lawfully come
before the Board of Trustees at that time.

A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded
bv'Irbotson, to uphold the decision of the Building Pt
Committee in their refusal to grant building permit to
the Texas Company for the proposed Ras station at the tufa
Northwest corner of Norwest Highway and Lmerson St. The
President put the question and the Clerk galled the roll
with the following results: Ayes: None. Nays: Trustees
Bayne, Brown Ibbotson, Lams, Lange, and Viper. `Thereupon
the President declared the notion defeated.
A motion was then made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Irbotson, that the Building Committee be instructed
to issue a permit to the Texas Company for the subject
Building, provided that the plans meet with ordinance
requirements. The President put the question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes:
All.; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk then read the following letter:

Dear Mr. Schock:
Building Commissioner mu,
We the undersigned being the owner of approximately
forty -five (45) acres on Mount Prospect,Road, Mount
Prospect, Illinois, legally described as:
The west forty (40) acres of the Southeast
qurarter (SE *) of Section 12, Township 41,
North, mange 11, Last of the third principal
meridian,
Also
that pert south of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railroad of the Southwest fractional quarter(4)
of the Northeast quarter ( -) of Section Twelve
(12) Township 41 north, Range 11, ,oast of the
Third Principal Meridian.
hereby request that the zoning on said lard be
changed to light industrial zoning.
Check for 435.00 is enclosed.

The Clerk was instructed to request a plat
covering the land in question.
A proposed agreement between the Village of
Mount Prospect and Mount Prospect Country Club Inc. mi
regarding the use of 4Jcgo Trail on the Golf Course was
then read. A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lange, that the Village President and Clerk be
authorized to execute the agreement after acceptance by
the liJount Prospect Country Club, Inc. The President
put the question and the Clerk called the roll with
the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.
September 19, 1951
A letter dated September. 18, from Robert 259
Irmiper apain requesting special assessment foreclosure
suit covering lot 1 in Block 17 in prospect Menor was
then read. A motion was made by 12 r.ustee Bayne, seconded
by Viper, that the Clerk be instructed to acknowledge
this letter and inform Mr. Irmiger that the Village
Board would npree to foreclosure provided that Mr. Irmiger
would agree to e settlement of 100%a of the principal
mount due. The President put the cuestion end the
Clerk celled the roll with the following results: Ayes:
All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
A letter was then read from Attorney A.J.
ppm Refakes, dated September 10, regarding the parking
space on the South side of Council Trail at See -gwun
rr..r .Avenue. The Clerk was instructed to ecknowledpe the
letter.
A letter dated September 18 from k4alter A.
Carlson, regarding the proposed paving of the north
half of Gregory St. from Elmhurst Avenue west to the
present end of Gregory paving was then read. The
matter was referred to the Streets and Sidew£ilks committee
A letter dated September 19 from Attorney
Hugo J. Thal regarding a request from Milburn Brothers
for vacation of part of Prospect Avenue was then read.
A motion was made by Trustee Lange, seconded be Lams,
that this matter be referred to the Ilan Commission.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
�.' President declared the motion carried.
