MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING MOUNT PROSPECT ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1051,`
The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton et 8:05 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees
answered "Present:" Bayne, Brown, Ibbotson, Lams,
Lange end Viper. Absent: None.
The Clerk then reed the minutes of the meeting
held October 2, 1951. A motion was made by Trustee
Viper, seconded by Ibbotson, that the minutes be
approved as read. The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following
results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then read the Treasurer's report
for the period ending September 30, 1951. The motion
was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Brown, that the
report be approved as react and placed on tile. The
President rut the question and the Clerk called the
roll with the following responce: Ayes: All; Nays:
Nnne. Thereupon the President declared the motion
carried.
A motion was then made by Trustee Lams,
seconded by Viper, that the Special Assessments
Report be placed on file. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President deelered the
motion carried.
A motion was rrade by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Ibbotson, that the bills for the month of September
as approved by the Finance Committee be approved for
payment. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All;
Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried. -

A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded 6 3
by Viger, that Busse Motor Sales be paid the sum of
652.88, balance due on Water Department panel truck.
The President put the question and the Clerk celled the
roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Viper, seconded
by Bayne, that expenses in the amount of 425.00 be
allowed Mr. Baum, Water Superintendent,to attend a
meeting in Springfield, Illinois. The President put
the Question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None, Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.
The motion was then made by Trustee Lams,
seconded by Lange, to appropriate a sum of 4150.00
to cover engir.Fering fees to cover a five year plan
and a one year prorram for street improvements as
renuired by the State in accordance with Section 2 of
"An Act in Relation to Classification and Planrinp of
Public Improvements ", The President put the nueetion
and the Clerk called the roll with the following► results:
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon, the President declared
the motion carried.
The meeting was recessed at 8:55 P.M. and
reconvened at 10:10 P.M.
t- The Clerk then read Ordinance No 350
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR BORR MONEY
AND ISSUING BONDS OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
.. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF
e g,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING NECESSARY FIRE
UIPMENT IN AND FOR SAID VILLAGE AND PROVIDING FOR THE
LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A DIRECT ANNUAL TAX FOR THE
PAYMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SAID BONDS."
A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Brown, that the ordinance be passed. The President
put the Question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried and said
Ordinance passed and approved.
The Clerk then read a letter dated September
28, 1951 from Winston, Strewn, Shaw, and Black regarding
property to the East of Illinois Range Co. for a
proposed new industrial plant. The letter was referred
to the Plan Commission for their comments.
The Clerk then read Ordinance No. 351 entitled
"AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE, LIMIT, AND RESTRICT THE PLACE
OF BUILDING GASOLINE SERVICE STATIONS AND OF GASOLINE
STORAGE TANKS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS."
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lams, that the ordinance be passed as corrected. The
President put the question and the Clerk called the roll
with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and
said ordinance passed and approved.
A motion was then made by Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Lams that the Zoning Commission be requested
to republish notice of hearing to show revised date in
order to comply with legal requirements and that the
notice be changed to include only lots 22 and 23 in
block 20 in Mt. Prospect, being a subdivision in Section ]2
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, for rezoning from B classifica-
tion to R -2 classification. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.

264 A motion was made by Trustee Lange, seconded
by Brown, to authorize the purchase from Chas. Osborn
of one Fordson tractor equipped with the baekhoe.a nd
front end loader, for the sum of *2,000.00. The
President put the question and the Clerk called the roll
with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Viger,
seconded by Lams, that the meeting be adjourned. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried and meeting
regularly adjourned.
