HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/06/1951 VB minutes 4 MINUTES OF A REGULAR METING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL .BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 1951. The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8 :10 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees answered "Present ": Bayne, Brown, Ibbotson, Lams, Lange and Viger. Absent: None. The Clerk then read the minutes of the meeting held October 9, 1951. A motion was made by Trustee Brown, seconded by Lange, that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was then made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, that the President and Village Clerk be authorized to sign release of claim No. 301 -56778 for Meyer Coal & Material Company to Continental Casualty Co. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read Summons 51816957, The People of the St. of Illinois vs. Emma Franklin, et. al. A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Ibbotson to authorize the filing of an appearance on behalf of the Village by the Village Attorney. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried, The Clerk then read Summons No. 51C9849, Lawn Savings & Loan Ass'n. vs Superior Home Builders, Inc. et al. A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded by Brown, that the Village Attorney be authorized and instructed to file an appearance and answer. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The motion was then made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, to authorize the President and Village Clerk to execute with the Chicago and Northwestern Railway lease No. 61 465 concerning park in front of railroad station. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk, then read resolution No. 15 -51 entitled: "A RESOLUTION FOR DESIGNATION OF ARTERIAL STREETS UNDER THE MOTOR FUEL TAX LAW". The motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, that the resolution be adopted. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the follow- ing results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and said resolution adopted. November 6, 1951 The Clerk then read the following letter 2 from Mr. N.M. Maxon of the Maxon Construction Co. of Barrington, Illinois, under date of November 2, 1951. "Dear Mr. Sehock: We were charged a water tap fee of #35 for our job #242, Meyer residence, 415 S. Pine St. Please be advised that the bufalo box was already on the lot, and we would appreciate a refund covering same." A motion was made by Trustee Viger, seconded by Ibbotson, that the refund be authorized. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll x with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the notion carried and said refund authorized. There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lange, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly adjourned. '
