MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2, 1952
The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton at 8:30 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees
answered "Present:" Bayne, Ibbotson, Lams, and Lange.
Trustees Brown and Viger were absent.
The Clerk then read the minutes of the regular
meeting held December 11, 1951. A motion was made by
Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lange, that the minutes be
approved as read. The President put the question and
the Clerk called the roll with the following results:
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The various Committee Chairmen then presented
their reports with Trustee Lange giving a detailed report
regarding snow removal during the severe storm.
The Clerk then read correspondence from the
Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce and other citizens
regarding the snow removal. The Clerk was instructed to
acknowledge the correspondence, where necessary.
A letter from the Public Service Company of
r- Northern Illinois was then read, acknowledging receipt
of the request for installation of a street light at
Fairview Avenue and Henry Street.
The following communication from Mr. ?.N. Barker
Chief Highway Engineer, Division of Highways, State of
Illinois, under date of December 10, was then read:
"The resolution adopted by the Village Board at
its meeting on November 6, 1951 designating additional
arterial streets was approved today, as follows:
January 2, 1952
274 Arterial

6 Sha -nonee Trail See -Uwun Elmhurst Ave.
7 Council Trail See -Owun Elmhurst Ave.

There being no further business to come before
the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Ibbotson, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion
was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the president
declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned.
