MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF ThE 1 REaIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN TEE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 3952
In the absence of lresident Pendleton the
meeting was called to order by the Village Clerk at 8:10 P.M.
The roll was then called and the following Trustees answered
"Present:" Bayne, Ibhotson, Lams, Lange, end Viper.
Trustee Brown was absent.
The motion was then made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lange, thet Trustee Lams be elected es President Pro
Tem. The Clerk celled the roll with the following results:
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the Clerk declared the
motion carried end Trustee L/ ms took the President's chair.
The Clerk then read the minutes of the regular
meet r_p held February 5. - motion was made by Trustee
Viper, seconded by Lange, that the minutes be eprroved es
read. The President put the nuestion and the Clerk called
the roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None,
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.

The Treasurer's report for the period 279
ending January 31, 1952 was then read. A motion was
made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Ibbotson, that the
report he approved and placed of file. The President
put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following results: Ayes: All; Nays: Nrne. Thereuron
the president declared the motion carried.
A motion was then rude by Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Viper, that the Special Assessments Report
be arproved end placed on file. The motion was voted
upon bit acclamation, whereuron the President declared
the motion carried.
A emotion was then made h7 Trustee Lams, seconded
by V {per. , that the bills for the month of January, as
aprroved by the Finance Committee, he arrroved for rayment
The President put the 'question and the Clerk called the
roll with the following results: Ayes; all: Nays;
none. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne seconded
by Ibbotson, _that the I�ubl.ic Service Co. be authorized
to install a streetlight at the intersection of Can -Dots
and Go- Wanda. The President put the question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following response: Ayes
A11; Nays; None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried.

The Clerk then rend a letter dated February 11
from attorney Marvin E. `odika requesting foreclosure of
the lien of unpaid Special Assessments on Lots 1 to 5
inclusive and lots 10 to 15 inclusive and lots 22 to 27
'`y inclusive in Block 20 in Mount Prospect, bdivision
of part of the North West quarter and part of the North
East quarter of Section 12 Township 41 North, ,Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook Connty, Ill.
A motion was made brr Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lenge, that the request be referred to the Judiciary
Committee for their study. The motion was voted upon
by aeclarnation, whereuron the 'resident declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk then read Resolution No. 1 -52 entitled
"A RESOLUTION TO rORECLUSE THE LIi N OF S ECIAL
ASSESS1JiENTS. "
The motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lange, that the resolution be passed. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
declared the motion carried and said resolution passed
and approved.
The. Clerk then read Ordinance No. 361 entitled
"AN ORDINANCE ADIJEi DING CHARTER IX OF THL Iti.UUNT PROSPECT
BUILDING CODE OF 1938."
The motion was then made by Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Viger, that the ordinance be passed. The
President put the question and the Clerk called the roll
with the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereuron the 'resident declared the motion carried and
said ordinance passed and approved.

The Clerk then read a rroposed agreement between
the Village of Mount Prospect and Ruth Hittman, doing
business as the Mount Prospect Laundromat. The motion
was made by Trustee Viger, seconded by Lange, that the
President and Village Clerk be euthor.i ?ed to execute the
agreement on behalf of the Village. The motion was voted
upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The Clerk then read a letter dated February 6
from Consoer, Townsend and .associates regarding the
operation of the enuipment at No. 4 'Well, and recommenda-
tion for partial payment of balance due S.B. Geiger & Co.
February 12, 1952
4 28 0 A motion was then made by Trustee Viper,
seconded by Bayne, based on recommendation as outlined
in the letter, together with final estimate No. 7
covering construction at No. 4 Well; to authorize
payment of $] 0,000 to S.B. Geiger & Co. on account of
balance due for No. 4 Well and Equipment. The Presi-
dent put the question and the Clerk called the roll
with the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President ddelered the motion carried,

The Fire Derertment personnel anti myself
have encerted the new Fire Truck ns of tenuery 9th,
dev it rnssed the eccertRnce test tor. the Cook
County Inspection Bureau at wilmette harbor.
1 recommend that the bills for the fire truck
and enuipment he rein but that 0500.00 be held
back until e few shortapes be corrected.

The motion was then made by Trustee Viper-,
seconded by Ibbotson, to authorize payment of 020,717.71
to American La France on account for the new fire truck
end eeuipment. WA President put the question and the
Clerk celled the roll with the following results:
Ayes: Ail; Nevs: None. Thereuron the President
declered the motion carried.
There being no further business to come
before the meeting, n motion was medeObv Trustee Bayne
seconded by Lange, that the meeting be adjourned. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried n nd meeting
regu1erly adjourned.
