MINUTES OF A REGULAR MLETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUST ES , HELD IN THL MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 1952.
The rneetirp was called to order by President
Pendleton et 8:15 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to cs11 the roll.
On roll call the foll.owinp Trustees nr_swered
"Present": Bayne, Brown, Lams, Lange, and Viper. Trustee
Ibhotsor. wes absent.
The Clerk then reed the minutes of the ream tar
mr'etinp held March 4. " motion was made by Trustee Lenpe,
seconded by Lams, that the minutes be arrroved as rend.
The President rut the nuesti.on and the Clerk called the
T roll with the following results: Ages: All; Nags: Nnr:e.
hereupon the President declared the motion carried.
The Treasurer's Rerort for the rer.iod endinp
February 29, 1952 was then read. A motion wes made by
Trustee Brown, secorded by Lams, that the Treasurer's
Retort be arrroved and placed on file. The President
put the ouestion and the Clerk celled the roll with
the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: Nemie. There-
upon the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was then mace by Trustee Bayne,
secorded by Lenpe, that the Specie 1. Assessments Report be
arrroved and Pieced on file. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereuron the President declared the
motion carried.
March 11, 1952
A motion was made by Trustee Lams, secorded
by Bayne, that the bills for the m ^nth of February, as
approved b<< the Finance Committee be errroved for payment,
The President rut the question end the Clerk called the
roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then reed a letter. dated March 5,
from the Mt. Prospect women's Club, requesting aprrova l
of Tag Day on April 18 for the American Cancer Society.
A motion was rrde by Trustee Brown, seconded by Bayne,
that approval be r're nted. The motion was voted upon by
acelemetion, whereupon the President declared the motion
csirried.
The motion was then matte by Trustee Brown,
seconded by Lams, thet the Tag Days be limited to 4 per
year end be granted to the Veterans of foreign Wars
for Poppy De y, the Salvation Army Donut Tag v, Aged end
Adult Charities Tag Day, end the Mt, Prospect Women's
Club Cancer Society Tag Day. The motion was voted upor
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
A letter dated February 28, 1.952 from Hartford
Accident & Indemnity Co. regarding accident of Mrs. Betty
Gran in front of the Yost Office was then read. This
letter was referred to the Vi11a ae Attorney for answer.
The following letter was then read:

Gentlemen:
in reply to your letter of March f, 1952, we have
examined the plans end specificetions submitted for
the New Fost Office Building to be located on the
South side of Prospect Avenue between Emerson end
Mein Streets.
The Proposed plans meet with our approval except for
footings on the sides of the building which are shown
es 1 foot by 1 foot, 4 inches. These footings should
be e t least 20 inches to meet Village Code.

No plat or curvev of lot has beer submitted.

A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Lange, to concur in the recommendations of the Plan
Commission, end to refer the recommendations to the
Building Committee. lhe motion was voted upon by Recla -
mation, whereupon the tresident declared the motion carried
Cook Clerk then reed summons ho. 52S 7575, Superior
Court of. Cook County. A motion was made by Trustee Bayne
secrnded by Lams, that the Village Attorrev be euthoriaed
to file an appearance end answer. The motion was voted
upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The following letter wes then read:

Resolution Nn. 2 -52 entitled: "A RESOLUTION
DEDICATING LAND TO EXTEND SO. MAIN ST." was then read.
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lange
that the resolution be adopted. The President put the
ouestion and the Clerk called the roll with the

A motion was then made by Trustee Viper,
seconded by Brown, that, in accordance with the
emended water ordinance, the 45.00 deposit be refunded
to Qualified consumers, as listed by dater Rate Collector
February 29, 1952. The President rut the question and
the Clerk ea] 1 ed the roll with the following results:

The meeting was recessed at 10:15 P.M. and
reconvened at 11:15 P.M.
The Clerk then reed e request dated Msrch 6,
from the Salvation Army asking permission to hold
Donut TAR Dev in Mount Prosrect, Friday, June 13. The
motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded by Viper,
that the request be pranted. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Viper, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
