The Clerk then read the minutes of the repuler meetirp of May 6th. The motion was Made h'r Trustee Lams seconded by Ldnrr', that the minutes be s.poroved es reed. The motion was then mede by Trustee Viper, seconded by Lams, that the Report of the Specinl Assess- ments Fund be r:prroved and placed or file. The motion was voted upon by aeolemetion, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was then rr +adA by Trustee Lams, seconded by Damns. that the bills for the month of April, as srrroved by the Finance Committee, be ap -roved for payment. The President nut the euesti on and the Clerk called the roll with the followin, response: Aves: ell: Nevis: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then reed a retort of the Police Pension Fund for the veer end{ n ► ATri l 70th, 1952. A motion was made by Trustee Lsnpe, seconded by Lams, that the retort be accerted and placed on file. 1e. The motion was voted upon by acolametion, whereupon the President declared the notion carried. The Clerk was instructed to write e letter of thanks and appreciation to the Mt. Prospect Girl. Scout Council, V.F.1V. Auxiliary No. 1777, South Church Men's Club, Boy Scout Troup No. 51, end the Mt. Prospect Men's Club for the contributions to the fund for trees and shrubs which were plented in Lion's Memoriel Perk on Arbor Dav, Mey zrd, 1952. May 13, 1952 292 The Clerk then read e letter dated May 11th From Mr. Cl.erence E. Naumann, 50P S. Hi -Lusi Ave. regarding condition of a tree in the parkway and also condition of Hi -Lusi Avenue. TI,is letter was referred to Trustee LenRe. Summons Nos. 52 0 4644 and 52 0 5 .78 Circuit Court of Cook County were then read. A motion was mode by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams that the Village Attorney be authorized and instructed to file en answer or arrear on behalf of the Villepe in each case. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read a rroposed Ordinence rrohibittng night time perkirg on the streets between the hours of two and six a.m. This Ordtrence was referred beck to the committee for Further study. tvo A motion was made by Trustee Bevne seerr_a? d by Viper, thnt the Plat for the rroposed Moehlirg s ' Subdivision bounded by Council Trail on the north co"' Emerson Street or. the mast, Weller Creek on the 5 buth, and Wille Street on the West, be submitted to the pen Commission for their study nrd comment. The motion was then made by Trustee Viper, seconded by Bayne, that in accordance with the emended Water Ordinar_ce the $5.00 water deposit he refunded to eualified consumers as listed by the water Rate Collector April 70th, 1952. A motion was made by Trustee Bevre, secorde d by Viper, to authorize en add tti onnl payment of two thousand dollars (42,000) to S.B. Geiger end Co. to aprly on account for No. 4 well. The President put the question end the Clerk celled the roll w 3 th the following resronse: Ayes: All; Nays: N„ne. ''hereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read a letter from the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, requesting permission to hold their Memorial Day Parade end Ceremony at the Village hall, May 70th. A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Viper, that the request be granted. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the iresident declared the motion carried. The following resnlution No. 4 -52 was then reed: WHEREAS, on Wedne'sady afternoon, May 7, 1952, a call was received by Officer William J. Creamer, then on duty, from a resident of the Villepe of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, Officer Creamer, in line of duty, faced a most hazardous call in dealing with six armed robbers, includirg one criminal armed with 8 sub - mechine gun who was captured immediately; end IdHEREAS, Cldef of Police George VVhittenberg, who eeme to the aid of his officer, while off duty, and captured the driver of the auto used by the bandits, and also apprehended e third member of the group, now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and members of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, that the Department of Police be highly commended for excellent police work performed in the apprehension of the criminals who irvaded the privacy of the home of one of our residents on Nednesday afternoon, Mey 7, 1952, thereby reflecting great credit on all members of the 1 olice Derert*nent and to the Village of Mount Frospect at large. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and Resolution adopted. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the 'resident declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly adjourned.
