President Schlaver called the meeting to order at
8:12 P.M. with the following mem~bers presenT:

approval of the minutes as submitted of the regular, meeting of
June 2nd. minutes

fence Trustee Bergen, seconded by Trustee Busse, moved
to grant Casper Cherardi, 919 South Eimhurst Road, variation
to erect stockade fence 6 feet high along the south line of
his property in accordance with drawing submitted. This is
to block the view of the shopping center across Golf Road.

Trustee Bergen read the following letter addressed

Dear Mr. Hayes:
The Buildling Depart~ent and the Board of Trustees
are ooncemned about water in your unfinished buildings~ footings
and walls.
You are hereby o~dered to pump these buildings out
within ten (10) days or the B~ilding~ Department will have same
done and back-charge the project for the cost.
Enclosed is a report of your project given to the ·
Village Board by the Building Department.

T~ustee Bergen added that this ordinance is not intended as a
deterrent to occasional use of sound amplifiers by civic
zations, churches or election campaign speakers. Attorney Hofert
explained, "If ~here is political activity conducted between
the hours in the ordinance (8:00 to 8:00) such activity would
be considered the right of free speech."

grant the Zoning Board of Appeals 30 days in which to return Planning
thei~ report and recommendations regarding The Open Space Zoning
Planning O~dinance. This motion caz~ied by acclamation.
Trms~ea Ekren informed the Board Tha% A~Torney Zoning
Robert Downing, who represents Doyno Motors in their appeal Case 6~-22
No. $~-22 asked permission to meet with the Judiciary
T~usTee Ekren invited all t~ustees to attend .this meeting.
Trustee Bruhl asked if citizens could also attend; it was de-
cided that Tom Lynam, president of the civic group in the area,
would be invited to represent his a~ea.
Trustee Ekren read report of Zoning Case 6~-18, peti-
tioner Sal Di Mucci, heard Ma~ch 20, as follows: Zoning
Case 6~-13
"This was a reques= for rezoning from R-1 to
contingent upon annexation of proper~y located at ~05 Golf Road.
"At the public hearing held March $0, 196~ the peti-
tioner, Mr. Salvatore Di Mucci, asked to amend his petition
requesting rezoning from R-1 To B-l,. shopping center, thereby
upgrading his rezoning request. This met with unanimous approval
of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
"The Board of Appeals voted S-0 to grant the rezoning
request as amended. There were no objectors presen=.

After discussion of ~his case at some length, Trustee Ekren,
seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved to concur with the peti-
Tioner's request and The recommendation of The Zon£ngBoa~, di-
recting the Village Attorney to prepare the necessary zoning
ordinances annexing The rezoning the property at ~05 West Oolf
Road.
Messrs. Carponelli and Furst, residents of Golf Road and Hi Lusi
respectively, objected. There was some doubt That The STate of
Illinois Highways Dept. would issue an access permit from Oolf
Road, and it was agreed that the vote on This issue would be with-
held until there is evidence that The State would be willing
grant the access. Trustees Ekren and Phillips thereupon withdrew
their motion.
The Board decided to delete portions of the sidewalk Sidewalk
assessment pertaining ~o BlueTT Subdivision for this year. Trustee Bluett
Ekren, seconded by Tz,Astee Bruhl, moved to delete the two
Subdivision items from the sidewalk special assessment from this
year's list; the Village Manager to ask for voluntary installation
of these items and To put on the next list if not done.
