President and Board of Trustees
Village of Mt. Prospect
Gentlemen:
In reply to your informal request the Planning
Commission met on Tuesday, July 8, 1952 and care-
fully examined the plans and specifications for the
new grade school building to be built on Fairview
Avenue for Cook County School District No. 57.
The electrical, plumbing, heating, and ventila-
ting plans and specifications meet all require-
ments for Mt. Prospect Code.
The General Work Specifications and Flans
were checked and found to adequately cover the
Village Codes pertaining to safety and fire
protection. The exits are large enough and are well
distributed and at convenient locations.
The roof joists, according to our calculations
are su"ficient to support well over 30 lbs. per
square foot. This should carry the snow load for
Northern Illinois' winter climate.
The Plans and specifications are recommended
for approval by the Village Board, subject to and
in compliance with the Village Plan and Zoning
Ordinance
