The Clerk then read a letter dated March 14, from the Village Attorney regarding the hearing held before the County Zoning Board in connection with the application for a variation in lot sizes as requested by Robert J. Bluett for the property to be developed on the land adjoining the Village on the East. A motion was then made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Wilson, that the Village Board go on record as objecting to granting a variation in County Zoning to reduce required minimum lot area from ten thousand square feet to seventy - five hundred square feet for the following reasons: 1. The request contravenes the provisions of the Village plan ordinance, a copy of which is submitted herewith. 2. There is no need for concentration of homes on small lots, this being a rural area, larger space is desirable. 3. All subdivisions within the Village, after the adoption of the Village Plan in 1943, contain larger lots as per plan ordinance. 4. The petitioner failed to show specific information as to the source of water supply to service the proposed subdivision and has failed to show any application for permit in connection therewith. 5. Petitioner has failed to show that a permit can be obtained for sewage disposal and has failed to present any plans for an Imhoff tank which may be acceptable to the proper health authorities. 6. The hearing discloses that if the request were granted that the side yard requirements could not be met under the County Ordinance. 7. No evidence was presented to show that there would be any fire hydrants erected for use in case of fire; and while there was evidence to indicate farm fire protection, there was no evidence to show that individual homes can be so serviced. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Viger, seconded by Bayne, that the meeting be adjoined.
