MINUTES OF THE REGTTLAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRTTSTEES, T.ETD IN TEE NUNIOIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, DECEN_BER 1, 1953 WOO
The meeting was called to order by President
Lams at 8:15 P.1. and the Clerk was then directed to call
the roll. On roll call the following Trustees answered
"Present:" Coutts, Ibbotson, Lange, Viger, and Wilson.
Trustee Hinrichs was absent.
The Clerk then read tle minutes of November 17, 1953.
A motion was made by Trustee Lange, seconded by Wilson,
that the minutes be approved as amended. The President
put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then read the following letter:

Village of Mount Prospect
Gentlenen:
The Plan Commission examined the proposed sub-
division plat of Mr. John Pearson,' to be located on
the west side of Mt. Prepect Road, north of Evergreen
Street.
The lot sizes in certain sections are less than
65 ft. but under the conditions experienced in this
section we find the sizes satisfactory. The building
lines are correct and the 8 ft. utility easement is
alright.
The final plat should include the necessary
restrictions as covered in the Building and Plaaaning
codes. Yours very truly

This m4ter was referred back to the Judiciary
Comrr_ittee for clarification.
Ordinance No. 388 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SUBSECTION A OF SECTION 16, BOARD OF APPEALS, OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED," was then read.
A motion was made by Trustee Ccutts, seconded by Lange, that
the Ordinance be passed. The President put the question and
the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes:
All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motior
carried and the Ordinance passed and approved.
A motion was then made by Trustee Coutts, seconded
by Wilson, to authorize the expenditure of five hundred and
ninety -eight dollars ($598.00) for trees, shrubs, and
fertilizer for use in Lions Memorial Park and Sunset Park.
The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll
with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.

376 A motion was made by Trustee Viger, seconded by
Lange, that the Village Board agree to the deposit of
ten' thoudand dollars ($10,000) wits the Village Treasurer
by Serafine Builders to cover costs of sewers and water
mains, also engineering costs and inspection fees on same
in the Frank Serafine Subdivision. Further, that the Village
be furnished a coPe of contract covering this work together
with waiver of liens fron contractors. Further, that payout
to contactors be made after approval of work by Village
engineers, together with approval by Board of Trustees. Also,
that the costs of paving in the sub - division, approximately
forty thousand dollars ($ shall be deposited
sim *larly before construction begins on streets. Also,
that one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for sidewalks
be deposited witl the Village at the time a permit is
issued for each house to be built in this sub - division.
The President put the question and the Clerk called the
roll wits the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Lange, seconded by
Wilson, that the Village Attorney be authorized to prepare
an Ordinance covering increased costs of. Vehicle licenses
as directed. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays:
None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee 'Wilson, seconded by
Ibbotson, to distribute free automobile vehicle stickers to
the Village Board Members, Village Employees, and members
of the Police and Fire Departments as in former years: also
to the following disabled veterans: Stanley J. Reese,
800 S. Elmhurst Rd., Joseph Knuth, 2 S. Edward ;; Jean R. Gill,
223 S. Elmhurst Rd. The President put the question and
the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes:
all; Nays: None. Thereupon tl e President declared the
motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Ibbotson, seconded
by Viger, that the plans for the Mount Prospect Evangelical
Lutheran Church be submitted to the Plan Commission for
their study and recommendation. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion
carried.
A motion was made by TrusteeViger, seconded by
Ibbotson, that the plans and specifications and estimate
of cost as submitted by Consoer, Townsend, and Associates,
Novembr 3, 1953, covering construction of water mains in
Lonnquist Gardens by S.T. Winston be approved. The motion
was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting a motion was made by Trustee Ibbotson, seconded
by Coutts, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared
the motion carried and the meeting regularly adjourned.
