The meeting was called to order by President Lams at 8 :00 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees answered "Present ": Coutts, Hinrichs, Ibbotson, Lane and Viger. Trustee Wilson was absent. A motion was then made by Trustee Viger, seconded by Lange, authorizing the Clerk to open the bids which had been received for the drilling of proposed No. 5 Well. Cliff Neely 425000.00 463,405.00 Bond A motion as then made by trustee Coutts, seconded Olinge, was refer these bids to the Village Ensineers for tabulation and their recomrendations to be submitted at the June 15 meeting. The mction was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read the minutes of the meeting held May 18, 1954. A notion was then made by Trustee Lange, seconded by Hinrichs that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the question, the Clerk called the roll vith the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: ione. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then r( ad a letter on the date of May 26th from the Department of Public Works and '3uildi/e, Division of Hi,hways, giving approval on Resolution 2-54, providing for addition of an improvement an Candota Ave. to the long range plan for 1952-57 and the one year construction program for the year of 1954, :TT. Dear Sir: Mr. Townsend of t Consoer, Townsend office has suggested that we write you formally requesting that we be permitted to make the following improvements in our 'dorthwest Meadows subdivision. Exte ,d Gregory Road. East to Forest Avenue Extend Cak Street East to Forest Avenue Construct tne South Half of Memory Lana between Dale Avenue and Forest Avenue All of this road construction to be done in the same manner and in accordance with the same specifications that we agreed to construct the other roads in this subdivision. We at the present ,` ime have our machinery in the subdivision and would like to proceed with this work as soon as possible. Th e CJe rk then read a petition dated June 1, 1954, from Theodore C. Moeh & Alice F. Noehling, requesting annexation of certain property and also a petition dated Na a 18, from the Chicago Title & trust Co. requesting annexation of certain property to the Villa of Mount Prospect. These two petitions were referred to the Judiciary Committee for t ie it study. A letter under date of June 1, from the Village Engineers regarding their compilation of the flood condition survey was then read. This matter was referred to Committee for their stud:. A motion was then made by Trustee Lange, seconded by Hinrichs, to concur in the recommendation of the Village Engineers in their letter of May 13, 1954, regarding changes on NFT Section 6 -CS and that the trees in question be removed entirely at an added cost of .;360 to the original estimate for this work. The President put the question, the Clerk called the roll with the following respohse: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the ruction carried. A Potion was made by Trustee Lange, seconded by Coutts to authorize the purchase of an Elgin Street Sweeper Model No. Pl, for a sum, not to exceed $11,700.00. The President put the question, the Clerk called the roll with the foil -win response: Ayes: Trustees Coutts, Lange & Viger. Nags: Trustee Hinrichs & Ibbotson. Absent: Trustee Wilson. President Lams then voted. Aye and declared the motion carried. Kells, I Desire to appoint Mr. Robert C. Bayne as a member cf the Zoning Board of Appeals, whose term will end in May, 1957, being the unexpired term of Mr. Ben F. cells, Furthermore, I herewith appoint ?fir. Edward r . Glaeser a member of the Mount Prospect Police Pension Board for a period of two years, ending in May, 1956. Your concurrence in these appointments is respectfully requested. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the President declared the motion carried. There being; no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Viger, seconded by Lang e, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried, and the meeting regularly adjourned.
