HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/19/1955 VB minutes 490 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOA/it) OF TRUSTEES HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON SATURDAY MARCH 19, 1955 The meeting was called to order by President Lams at 10:10 A.M. and the Clerk was then directed to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees answered "Present ": Ibbotson, Schlaver, Willer, Wilson and Wright. Trustee Agerwas absent on roll call. Trustee Willer then introduced Ordinance No. 433 entitled "AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT pea PROSPECT, ILLINOIS. A motion was then made by Trustee Willer, seconded by Schlaver, that this ordinance be passed. The President J put the question the Clerk called the roll, with the following response: Ayes: Trustees Ibbotson, Schlaver, Willer, Wilson and 'Fright. Nays: None. Absent: Trustee Viger. Thereupon the President declaring that the ordinance having received the affirmative votes of two- thirds of the corporate authorities, declared said motion passed and the ordinance passed and approved. Trustee Viger arrived at 10:2) A.M., and took his place. The following petition was then read: March 17, 1955 To the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mt. Prospect, Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Gentlemen: In accordance with the Mt. Prospect zoning ordinalce, Walter Krause, Jr., and Lillian Krause, his wife, as owners, and Robert A. Kersting, as prospective purchasers, hereby apply for a rezoning of the parcel of property located on North Main Street, immediately north of the Mt. Prospect V.F.W. Club House and the Mt. Prospect Municipal Water Works, for a distance of approximately 421 feet on said Main Street, legally described as follows: The North 421.08 feet of the South 6 36.08 feet of the West 575.43 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the North- east ; uarter of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois., containing 5.562 acres. (From R -1 classification to B (business) classification) Attached please find check in the amount of 00.00 to cover the prescribed publication fee and expense in connection with the public hearing, etc. March 19, 1955 With the development of the property immediately 41911 south being improved with a Municipal Water Works and the V.F.W. Club House, the petitioners represent that the improvement upon this property as proposed wife consist of a store and residence with off - street parking area. It will not impair an adequate supply of light and air, nor create any congestion in adjoining streets, nor create any danger of fire, nor endanger the public safety or impair the health, comfort or welfare of the residents of the Village of Mt. Prospect. In view of these facts, it is felt that this rezoning, as proposed is in the best interests of the people of the Village of Mt. Prospect. Yours very truly, Walter Krause Jr. Robert A. Kersting Lillian Krause A motion was then made by Trustee Willer, seconded by Wright, that this petition be referred to the Zoning Commission for the holding of a public hearing and their recommendations. The President put the question, the Clerk called the roll, with the following response: ,yes: Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. The following agreement was then read: March 19, 1955 President and Board of Trustees, Village of Mt. Prospect, Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Gentlemen: As a consideration for favorable action on the request of Emil Seegers and Anna Seegers, his wife, and Henry Moellenkamp, Jr., and Mae Victoria Moellenkamp, his wife, for annexation of properties set forth in said request, the undersigned as purchasers hereby agree to do as follows: 1. Pay the sum of 000 to the Board of Education of School District No. 57 upon the issuance of certificate of occupancy for each residence, or within 120 days after i ssuance of the building permit, whichever is first. 2. To pay to the Village of Mt. Prospect with each building application the sum of W10 to be credited to the account of garbage disposal. 3. In the event that the undersigned discontinues the construction of buildings or makes sales of lots in the proposed subdivision, then in that event they agree to increase the price of said lots in the sum of 000, and pay the said sum of 000 per lot to the Board of Education of School District No. 57.
