HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 06-46 02/05/1946 F1LLO: S 2 -5 -46 Steele A RESOLUTION TO FORECLOSE THE LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS. N ° 6 -46 # * * # # WHEREAS,, ordinances have heretofore been adopted providing for the construction of certain water, sewer, sidewalk and paving improvements in portions of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work and pursuant to the statute applicable thereto said im- provements were constructed and the report of cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assessments levied against individual lots have not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees find that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said special assessment liens be foreclosed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: Lot 12in Block 1; Lots 8,9,10,17 in Block 2; Lots 6, 10,12,16,17,18,19 in Block 3; Lots 7,11 in Block 4; Lots 1,4,5,6,7,8,11 in Block 5; Lots 1 11 12 13 14 15 16,17,18,19,20 in Block 6; Lots 1,3,11,21,22 in Block 7; Lots 12,17,18,22 in Block 8; Lots 4,5,9,10,11,12,13 in Block 9; Lots 1,3,11,12,13,15,16,17,18,20,22 in Block 10; Block 11; Lots 1 2 3 5 6 7 10 11 12 14 in Lot to 13 Lo 8 in 11; , , � � s s s s > Block 15; Lots 1,2,4,6,7, 8,9,12,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21, and 22 in Block 16; Lots 6,7,8,9,12,17,22 in Block 17; s � 6 Lots 1 7,8,9,.11,19,20,21,22 in Block 18;Lots 10,11,12, IC I 14,16,18,20 in Block 19; Lots 1,3 in Block 22; Lots 1,7, 8, 14 in Block 23,; Lots 1 and 5 in Block 25; all in Prospect Manor, in Township &North, Range 11 East of the 3rd P.M., be foreclosed. Section 2. That the attorney for the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prosecute, said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with r I the States Attorney of Cook County in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, which this board requests said States Attorney to foreclose; and to co- operate with the officials of the Weller Creek Drainage District or any other district in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of drainage benefit assessments upon said lots, if any there be,which this Board requests said Drainage Districts to foreclose; that I said attorney is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the States Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. f 31 Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 5th day of February, 1946. APPROVED this 5th day of February, 1946.
