RESOLUTION TO FORECLOSE THE
LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.
WHEREAS, ordinances have heretofore been adopted providing for
the construction of certain ldcal improvements in portions of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to pay the cost of
said work and,pursuant to the Statute applicable thereto, said im-
provements were constructed and the report of cost and completion
was approved in manner and form provided by law; and
WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assessments
[levied against individual lots have not been paid and are now past
due and delinquent; and
WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees find that it
will be for the best interests of the Village that said special
[ 'assessment liens be foreclosed;
NOW, THEREFO, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Fount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
i Section 1. That the special assessment liens against the fol-
lowing described real estate, to -wit:
Lot 2 in Block 30, Lot 16 in Block 31 in
Prospect Park Country Club in Section 11,
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of 3rd P.M.,
also Lot 22 in Block 19 in Prospect Manor,
be foreclosed.
Section 2. That the attorney for the Village of Mt. Prospect
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prosecute said fore -
[closure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the States
Attorney of Cook County in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of
general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and this Board request
the States Attorney to foreclose; and to cooperate with the officia s
of the Weller Creek Drainage or any other district in procuring the
foreclosure of the lien of drainage benefit assessments upon said
`lots, if any there be, and this Board hereby requests said Drainage
Districts to foreclose; that said attorney for the Village is here
authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to 4oin in any suit or
suits to foreclose instituted by the States Attorney to foreclose
the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems
' proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said
liens.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in con -
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
