RESOLUTION FOR THE FORECLOSURE
OF LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.
No. ZZ - 46
WHEREAS, ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro-
viding for the construction of certain local improvements in
the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS. special assessments were levied to pay the
cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable
thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of
cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by
law; and
WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assess-
ments levied against individual lots and parcels of land have
not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and
AREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find that
it will be for the best interests of the Village that said
special assessment liens be foreclosed; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the special assessment liens against
the following described real estate, to -wit:
South 30 acres of the West half of the North
East quarter (except the East 2/7 South 608.5
feet thereof) in Section 11, Township 41
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
be foreclosed.
Section 2. That the Attorney for the Village of Mount
Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose-
cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to coop -
erate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring

the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if
any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Districts
in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District
benefit special assessments on said lots, if any there be,
and this Board requests said State's Attorney and officials of
1 the Drainage Districts to foreclose; and that said Attorney
for the village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclo-
sure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted
by the State's Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes
and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the
prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption and approval.
