RESOLUTION TO FORECLOSE THE
LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS Ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro-
viding for the construction of certain water, sewer, sidewalk
and paving improvements in portions of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois;
WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to pay the
cost of said work and pursuant to the Statute applicable there-
to, said improvements were constructed and the report of cost
and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law;
and.
WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assess-
ments levied against individual lots have not been paid and are
now past due and delinciuent; and
WHEREAS the President and the Board of Trustees find
that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said
special assessment liens be foreclosed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the special assessment liens against
the following described real estate, to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 to 31 inclusive, 33,
34, 35 and 36 in Block 1; Lots 1 to 26 in-
clusive in Block 2; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and
9 to 26 inclusive in Block 3; Lots 1 to 26
in Block 4; Lots 1 to 26 in Block 5; Lots
1 to 26 inclusive in Block 6; Lots 1, 2 and
5 to 26 inclusive in Block 7; Lots 3 to 26
inclusive in Block 8; Lots 1 to 22 inclusive
in Block 9; Lots 1 and 3 to 21 inclusive in
Block 10; Lots 1 to 22 inclusive in Block 11;
Lots 1 to 22 inclusive in Block 12; Lots 1

to 22 inclusive in Block 13; Lots 1 to 22
inclusive in Block 14; Lots 1 to 22 inclu-
j sive in Block 15; Lots 1 to 8 inclus ve and
lots 10 to 22 inclusive in Block 16; all in
Randview Highlands, being a subdivision of
the Northwest nia (NtAT 1/4) of the North
West aua ter (NW 1/4) and the North east
Quarter NE 1 /4) of the Northwest Quarter
ON 1/4) of Section 34 Township 42 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Merid-
ian, in Cook County, Illinois,
be foreclosed.
Section 2. That the Attorney for the Village of Yount
Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose-
cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooper-
ate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring the
foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any
there be, and this Board renuests the State's Attorney to fore-
close and to cooperate with the officials of the WWeller Creek
Drainage or any other district in procuring the foreclosure of

the lien of drainage benefit assessments upon said lots, if any
there be, and this Board hereby recuests said Drainage Districts
to foreclose; that said Attorney for the Village is hereby auth-
orized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or
suits to foreclose instituted by the State's Attorney to foreclose
the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems
proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satify
said liens.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force an.
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
