RESOLUTION TO FORECLOSE THE
LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS

WHEREAS. Ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro -
viding for the construction of certain water, sewer, sidewalk
and paving improvements in portions of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois;
WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to pay the
cost of said work and pursuant to the Statute applicable there-
to, said improvements were constructed and the report of cost
and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, certain installments of said specir =1 assess-
ments levied against individual lots have not been paid and are
now past due and delinquent; and
WHEREAS. the President and the Board of Trustees find
that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said
special assessment liens be foreclosed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the special assessment liens against
the following described real estate, to-wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 17, 18, 19 and 20 in Block
2, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 in Block 3,
in Ernest Busse Addition to Mt.Prospect,
being a subdivision of the S 543 ft. of the
East half of the South West quarter of Sec-
tion 34, Town 42, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal , leridian, in Cook County,
Illinois.
Lots 59, 60, 130, 191, 218, 219, 220, 221,
165,262 and 279 in H. Roy berry Co.'s Col-
onial Manor, being a subdivision of that
part of the northeast Quarter of Section 11,
part of Northwest quarter of Section 12,
Town 41, Range 11„ East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
be foreclosed.
Section 2. That the Attorney for the Village of mount
Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose-
,
cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooper-
ate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring the
foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any
there be, and this Board recuests the State's Attorney to
foreclose and to cooperate with the officials of the Weller
Creek Drainage or any other district in procuring the foreclo-
sure of the lien of drainage benefit assessments upon said lots,
if any there be, and. this Board hereby recuests said Drainage
Districts to foreclose; that said. Attorney for the Village is
hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in
I any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the State's Attorney
to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other
steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said
property to satisfy said liens.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
