RESOLUTION N0.2 -47
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois under Senate Bill 303, (hereinafter called
the Act) has appropriated funds to the State Department of Finance to be expended
pursuant to allocations to Counties, Municipalities, School Districts, Sanitary
Districts and Park Districts through the recommendations of the Illinois Post -war
Planning Commission (hereinafter designated as *Commission ") for the purpose of
defraying a portion of the cost of preparation of engineering surveys, engineering
or architectural designs,, working and detailed drawings, specifications, estimates
of cost, and reports required for specific postwar public works projects; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, (hereinafter designated as *Local
Agency') desires to apply for an allotment to defray a portion of the cost of pre-
paring the plans, specifications, and studies for the hereinafter particular project
and there has been prepared and presented to this Governmental Body for considera-
tion an application for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided or will make available the balance of
the funds to prepare the completed plans, specifications and studies for the here-
inafter particular project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency approve the aforesaid
application and that it be submitted to the, Commission requesting an allotment of
Two Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($ 2,880.00) or for such amount as may
be recommended by the Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Act for
the particular project to be undertaken by Local Agency and herewith designated
as the Administration Building-;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such plane,
specifications, and studies, subsequent to July 20, 1945, is Seven 'thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($ 7,200,00), and that Local Agency has made provision for financ-
ing and will pay the portion of the cost of preparing such plans, specifications,
and studies that will not be covered by the allotment as finally determined by the
Commission;.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purpose of such application Maurice
B. Pendleton, Village President, be and hereby is designated as the authorized
agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above ::~

mentioned application on behalf or Local Agency and submit the same to the Commis-
sion together with supporting data and such other information as may be required;
and said agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local
Agency to conclude all arrangements which may be nacessary to secure disbursement
for the State's share of the expenditure in preparing said completed plans,
specifications, and studies.
