Ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro- viding for the construction of certain local improvements in the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS. special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable (thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of costs and completion was approved in manner and form provided l by law; and WHEREAS. certain installments of said special assess- . ments levied against individual lots and parcels of land have not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees find that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said spe- cial assessment liens be foreclosed; NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: Lots Four (4, five (5) and Six (6.) in Block Five (5) in rospect Park subdivision No.One (1) in the subdivision of the West Half of the North 60 rods ggf the South West Quarter of Section Twelve E Township Forty -One (41) orth, Range Eleven (1* East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. also Lot Twenty -three (23) in Block Three in Prospect Park Subdivision No. One (1), being a subdivision of the West aalf of the North 60 rods of the South We st Quarter of Section 12, Township Forty -one (41) North, Range Eleven (11), East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; it -2- �' be foreclosed. SECTION 2. That the Attorney fbr the Village of Mount !Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose - cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the State Attorney of Cook County in procuring the fore - closure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Districts in procur- ing the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District benefit special assessments on said lots, if any there be, and this Board !requests said State's Attorney and officials of the Drainage ,Districts to foreclose; and that said Attorney for the Village !!is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in ',any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the State Attor- Iney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. SECTION 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in , ,conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
