HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 04-54 05/04/1954 RESOLUTION NO. , WHEREAS, the very heavy amount of traffic on Route 83 is now passing through the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect on Main Street, Lincoln Avenue, and Elmhurst Avenue, and WHEREAS, said traffic is a matter of great concern to the welfare of the residents residing in the area, and y,a great traffic hazard now exists in the business district on Main Street of our rapidly growing community, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the President and Board of I I Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois request the Cook County Highway Department to take immediate action relative to the construction of the Kingery Expressway, being a continuation of Route 83 northward from Algonquin Road to I,I the west of the present village limits.
