RESOLUTION to purchase a
site for municipal equip-
ment.
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is in great
need of procuring a site and building for the housing and
storage of Village equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Onion Set Growers Association
is the owner of the hereinafter described premises containing
a building suitable for the aforesaid purposes ; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is desirous
of acquiring said premises and the said Association is willing
to sell said premises
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the president
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount prospect, Cook
county, Illinois
Section 1. That the Village of Mount Prospect
purchase from the Illinois Onion Set Growers Association the
following described real estate to-wit:
Lot 17 (except the North 22 feet thereof) and
all of Lot 16 in Block 2 in Busse and Wille's
Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, in the West
half of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois
together with all appurtenances thereunto belonging.
Section 2. That the president and Village Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute a contract for
the purchase of said premises at and for the price of $25,000.00
to be payable as follows: $2500.00 upon the execution of the
agreement, the sum of $7500.00 on or about May 1, 1956 at
which time the seller shall convey to the Village of Mount
prospect or a nominee to be designated by it, by warranty
deed the aforesaid premises subject to a mortgage indebtedness
in the sum of $15,000.00 payable $5,000.00 or more on the 1st
day of July in each of the years 1957 and 1958 with the final
payment, unless previously paid, on July 1, 1959 with interest
thereon on the amount remaining unpaid at a rate not to
exceed 6% per annum payable semi-annually and subject also
to taxes for the current year. possession of said premises
to be delivered except as to a portion of the building on
said premises equal to 1/6th of the area thereof which shall
be delivered on or about August 1, 1956. Taxes and insurance
premiums to be pro-rated as of date of delivery of deed.
With delivery of deed seller is to furnish either an Owner's
Duplicate certificate of Title or a Chicago Title & Trust
Company Guaranty Policy. The agreement was to provide that
the seller will furnish space in said building, if available,
from date of agreement or assist in procuring a space equal
to 150 square feet for the storage of Village equipment.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in
full force and effect forthwith upon
