RESOLUTION No.6-55
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has hereto-
fore indicated its intent that the following described pro-
perty be acquired by and for the benefit of the Village of
Mount Prospect:
Parcel Ifl:
Lot 1 in Block 4 in Prospect Park Subdivi-
sion No.1 of the West half of the North
60 rods of the Southwest quarter of Section
12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County,
Illinois, with dimensions of approximately
7'8.47 feet on two sides and 108.92 feet on
the third sidej and
Parcel #2:
Lot nAil in the resubdivision of Lots 7, 8,
9 and 10 in Block 3 in Meir's Addition to
Mount Prospect in the Northwest quarter of
Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in
Cook County, Illinois with dimensions of
approximately 78.15 feet on two sides and
108.88 feet on the third sidej and
~rnEREAS, it is in the public interest of the Village
of Mount Prospect that said property be acquired either through
negotiations or by the exercise of eminent domain through con-
demnation proceedings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
1. That the following-described real property be
acquired for the benefit of the Village of Mount Prospect:
Parcel ill:
Lot 1 in Block it in Prospect Park Subdi vi-
sion No. 1 of the West half of the North
60 rods of the Southwest quarter of Section
12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian in Cook County,
Illinois, with dimensions of approximately
78.47 feet on two sides and 108.92 feet on
the third sidej and
Parcel -//::2:
Lot "All in the resubdivision of Lots '7, 8,
9 and 10 in Block 3 in Meir's Addition to

Mount Prospect in the Northwest quarter of
Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in
Cook County, Illinois with dimensions of
approximately 78.15 feet on two sides and
108.88 feet on the third side.
2. That Robert J. Downing, Village Attorney, be and
he is hereby authorized and directed by the Village of Mount
Prospect to negotiate for it and in its behalf with the owner
or owners of, or party or parties interested in said property
for the purpose of agreeing upon the compensation to be paid
for the acquisition of the aforesaid properties.
3. That in the event negotiations cannot be agreed
upon, Robert J. Downing, Village Attorney, be and he is here-
by authorized to take such action as is necessary by eminent
domain proceedings to institute condemnation action by and on
behalf of the Village of Mount Prospect to acquire the pro-
perties described above.
