CANVASSING RESOLUTION
WHEREAS the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, heretofore on
the
6th

, 1959, did cause to be submitted
to the legal voters of said Village, at a special election duly
called and held in and for said Village on the 27th
day of
January
, 1959, the following question:

WHEREAS the President and Board of Trustees of said
Village did cause to be given by the Village Clerk not more than
thirty (30) days nor less than fifteen (15) days notice of said
special election by publishing notice thereof once on the 6th
day of January

, the same being a newspaper
published in and having a general circulation within said Village,
which said notices as so published did specify the places whereat
such election was to be held, the time of opening and closing of
the polls, and the questions to be voted upon, copies of said
notices with the affidavits of publication attached thereto, being
now on file and a part of the official records of the President and
Board of Trustees of this Village and being in words and figures
as follows:

the word indicating the way you desire to vote.}
Shall bonds in the amount of $75,000 be issued by the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose of YES
paying the cost of purchasing additional fire fighting equip-
ment in and for said Village, said bonds to be of the denomina-
tion of $1,000 each, to be numbered consecutively from 1 to 75,
inclusive, and to become due serially $5,000 on February 1 of
each of the years 1961 to 1975, inclusive: provided, however,
that of said bonds, bonds numbered 21 to 75, inclusive, matur-
ing on February 1 of each of the years 1965 to 1975, inclusive,
and in the aggregate amount of $55,000, shall be subject to re-
demption and payment prior to their maturity, at the option of
the Village, at par and accrued interest to date of redemption,
in the inverse order of their number, on any interest payment

WHEREAS the election returns have been presented to and
have been canvassed by the President and Board of Trustees of said
Village:
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the total number of votes cast at said
special election as shown by the poll list was:

Section 2. That on the question of issuing $75,000
Fire Fighting Equipment Bonds, the votes cast thereon were as
follows:

Section 3. That it is hereby found, determined and
declared of record that the question of issuing $75,000 Fire
Fighting Equipment Bonds, did receive the approval of a majority
of the electors of the Village voting on said question at said
special election and that said question had been legally approved
and carried and that the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, have been
authorized by the electors of the Village of Mount Prospect, to
issue $75,000 Fire Fighting Equipment Bonds of said Village.
Section 4. That all orders or resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are, to the extent of such conflict,
hereby repealed, and that this resolution be in full force and
effect immediately and forthwith upon its adoption.
