"V111iEREAS, it appears inevitable that the issuance of the 1959 Real
Estate tax bills for Cook County taxpayers will be delayed in 1960, and
WHEREAS suhh delays may necessitate the issuance of tax anticipation
warrants with subsequent expense to taxpayers because of the interest charges
on said warrants, and
l~EREAS, Francis S. Lorenz, County Treasurer of Cook County, has
proposed a plan which would go far to eliminate the aforesaid delay in
the tax billing and tax money distribution procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect that the Lorenz Plan, which would permit the
County Treasurer and Collector to issue and collect an estimated tax bill
based upon one-half of the 1958 tax liability, be approved and recommended
to the highest consideration of the Board of Commissioners of Cook Count Yo
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that County Treasurer Lorenz be and he is hereby
commended for his efforts to aid all taxing bodies in Cook County.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be presented to the
Honorable President of the Board of Commissioners of Cook County,
Daniel Ryan, and to Commissioner Fred A. Fulle.
