HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 08-61 04/19/1961 RESOLUTION NO. 8-61 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 1961, IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, a regular election was held on Tuesday, April 18, 1961, in and for the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose of electing a President for the full term, a Clerk for the full term, three (3) trustees for the full term, a Police Magistrate for the full term, and two (2) Public Library Directors for the full term, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, as by statute in such case made and provided, canvassed the votes cast at such an election, are ready to declare the results thereof, as follows: P-R-E -C-I-N -C-T-S One Two Three Folir Five .Fairview St. John's Vil1age__Hall Lincoln Lions Total President Ekren 373 99 84 399 289 1244 Airey 205 228 257 386 335 1411 Schlaver 399 275 319 513 272 1778 Civinelli 34 35 12 21 17 119 Clerk Erickson 360 102 81 344 253 1140 Wilson 279 278 295 497 369 1718 Hardy 354- 244 282 462 274 1616 . SCHLAVER having received the highest number of votes cast, be and he is hereby declared duly elected to the office of President of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to serve for the full term of four years as is by law provided. Section 2: That RUTH C. WI~ having received the highest number of votes cast, be and she is hereby declared duly elected to the office of Cle~k of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to serve for the full term of four years as is by law provided. Section 3: That RALPH E. GOULD having received the highest number of votes cast, be and he is hereby declared duly elected to the office of Police Magistrate of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to serve for the full term of fom' years as is by law provided. Section 4: That JOHN H. BICKLEY, JR. WHLIAM G. CASTERLINE WILLIAM L. PHILLIPS having received the highest number of votes cast, be and they are hereby declared duly elected to the office of Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to serve for the full term of four years as is by law provided. Section 5: That DOROTHY W. KESTER JANE T. McMAHON having received the highest number of votes cast be and they are hereby declared duly elected to the office of Public Libra~ Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to serve for the full term of six years as is by law provided. Section 6: That all the officers herein declared to be duly elected shall, as is by law provided, quali~ and shall be installed into their respective offices at the regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 2, 1961. Section 7: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. PASSED: This 19th day of April, 1961.
