RESOLUTION No. 11-61
WHEREAS, Harold G. Appleby has complet.ed five years as
the first Village Manager of Mount Prospect,
AND W~~REAS, He has fully and faithfully complied with
the duties of the ordinance pertaining to the Office together with
all Board policies established from time to time including the Side-
walk Assessment Program and the Village-wide construction of the
Storm Relief System by the Metropolitan Sanitary District,
AND Wt~REAS, Such public improvements for the benefit of
the Village of Mount Prospect added greatly to the normal duties of
his office, particularly when combined with the further administrative
duties related to the physical and population expansion of the
Villaf!e durinJ! this period of growth from 12,000 to 20,000 persons,
AND WHEREAS, It is appreciated that under the conditions
set forth above it is humanly impossible to satisfy all individual
citizens and all individual interests while implementing the policies
and programs of the Trustees as a Village Board and as a Board of
Local Improvements,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That in view of the addition
of the many projects so ably handled and that were considerably beyond
the normal duties incumbent upon him in his office, a vote of confid-
ence and appreciation be extended herewith to Harold G. Appleby as
V illage Manage r .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That it is the recommendation
of the Board of Trustees, conscientiously serving the best interests of
the Village of Mount Prospect, that the services of Harold G. Appleby
be continued as Village Manager.
