HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 02-62 01/30/1962 4/1/29/62 RESOLUTION NO. ."~' ,/ .'1 .0' CJJ tMf.vy A RESOLUTION ESTABi,ISHING ~REVAILING WAGES IN 'THE VILLA9-E OF MOUNT PROSt'ECT - CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE WHEREAS, Illjnois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, 3'1s-1, 39s-12, prevailing Wage Law, as amended August 8, 1961, requires that the public body awarding any contract for public work or doing the work by day labor shall ascertain the general prevail- ing hourly rate of wages for employees engaged on such work, and WrlEREAS, the statutes further provide that said rates of pay be publicly posted and/or kept available for inspection by any interested party and a certified copy thereof promptly filed in the office of the Secretary of state; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: That the determination of the prevailing wages as set forth on the attached list which is made a part of this resolution by reference, are the prevailing hourly rates of wages being paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics engaged in the construction of streets or public buildings coming under the jurisdiction of this Village or President and Board of Trustees. BE IT PURTHER RESOLVED that nothing herein contained shall be construed to apply to the prevailing hourly rate of wages in the locality for employment other than public works construc- tion as defined in the Act.
