President Schlaver called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M.

Trustee Bruhl~ seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for the
approval of bills dated May 16th as follows: bills

Trustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee Phillips~ moved that the Finance
amount of $441.80 be ~emporarily advanced from General Fund to Municipal Advance
Building 6 Interest Fund - 1961 for paymen= of lbon~ interes~ due June 1, Funds
1963 to be repaid upon receip= of taxes.

T~ustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee Bergen, moved to accept Finance
and cancel Warrant ~4519 dated April 30 for $255 offered for polling
place rental at St, Raymond's Church and returned by Father Doyle, who
explained that Father O'Brien would have wanted it that way.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER~13 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BY AMENDING SECTION 13.107,
NUMBER OF LICENSES

This amends the liquor license, allowing two Class A, five Class B, six
Class C, and one Class D. Class E was dropped.
Trustee Casterline, seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved that
liquor the Village Attorney be directed to prepare a resolution of policy
making liquor lieges available in the following circumstances: If.
license has formerly been issued by the County to p~operty now annexed
by the Village and if it is so stipulated and agreed to in terms of
annexation of large area incorporating commercial development.

drawn in view of the fact that the Village has decided to keep them and
use as public parking.

Discussion was held by the Board with Mr. Wilson, chairmlan
insurance of the Insurance Committee, who suggested that bid of Employers Mutual
would prove to be the most profitable =o the Village, giMing his tech-
nical reasons for this recommendation. This will be held in committee
for another week.
Trustee Ekren, seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved for the
Ord. 912 passage of Ord. 912:

63-8 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
ZONING ORDINANCE P~LATING TO PROPERTY LOCATED ON
WILLIAM STREET ABOUT 291 FEET SOUTH OF EAST PROSPECT.

This refers zo Zoning Case 63-8, Jerry Chez; R-4 zoning for multiple
dwellings.
Zoning Case Trustee Ekren reported regarding Zoning Case 63-1, Shell Oil
63-1 Co., explaining that investigation of their County permit allowed them
a car wash such as is ordinarily attached to a gas station, capacity of
~ cars per hour, but d~ss not allow for an auto ta%undry. This matter is
still in Co~nittee.
Trustee Ekren, seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for
Res. 13-63 adoption of Res. 13-63:
County zoning
A R~SOLUTION DIP~CTED TO THE COUNTY CL~RK OF COOK
COUNTY FOR TRANSMITTAL TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OBJECTING TO THE P~ZONING OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY DESIGNATED BY THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
OF COOK COUNTY AS DOCKET 558, SAID PROPERTY BEING
IN ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP.

Trustee Phillips read the following memo from Finance Director
James King: Sewers
rates
"In reference to the Water Revenue Bond Ordinance, we haye to
establish a sewer rate for the sewers to be acquired. I would like to
recommend the same rate as that presently being ~charged residents by the
Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, that is, $2.50 residential
and $4.00 commercial or industrial per month. This would amend Section
23.302 of the Village Ordinances.
"I would also like to recommend a sewer tap charge in the
amount of .$15.00. This would amend Section 23.302 of the Village Ordi=
nanceSo
"And to recommend amending Section 23 to read "Sewer and Water"
throughout."
Trustee Phillips, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved that the
Village Attorney be authorized to prepare amendment as cited in the fore-
going memo.

Mr. Appleby read the following letter from the Village Attorney:

President and Board of Trustees Zoning
Gentlemen: Re: Cook County Zoning Docket #580 garbage
Subsequent investigation and consultation with Mr. Bruhl indicates
that protest by Mt. Prospect should not be made in above cause, since:
1. Des Plaines is in favor of same.
and
2. Land-fill is industrial disposal and not garbage.
I would therefore, request rescinding of instructions given to me.

Trustee Bickley, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved to rescind
motion of the Board made during April 80th meeting in regard to County Zoning
Docket 580. This motion carried by acclamation.
Manager Appleby reported that hearing would be held in the County
Court House regarding revisions proposed for the Cook County Building
Ordinance.
Mr. Appleby also reported that Well #7 was drilled to a depth of Well 6
1,026 feet by that day; and that Well #6 is pumping 1,500 gallons per Well 7
minute.
president Schlaver reported that he will attend meeting of the IML
Illinois Municipal Leauge in Springfield Friday afternoon, and that Trustees
Phillips and Bergen, as well as Mr. Appleby, will join him on Saturday
at the Legislative Review conference sponsored by the League.
Attorr~ Hofert reported that Town Development Company case Town Develop
wilt be heard in Cou~t before Judge Marovitz on May 28, that portion of ment Co.
this case is known as "Defining the Issue". He also reported that Northwest
Side Motors (Mor~on Pontiac) zoning case will be heard in the near future.

Sub accept the public improvements installed in We Go Park Subdivision,
Unit 3.

It was explained that these improvements had been approved by Consoer,
Townsend ~ Associates, and ~he Water and Street superintendents.
