Property ACQuisition
Rina Road Propert'l
Village Manager Janonis provided a summary of the research and the status of various properties
related to the lOOT Phase I ring road area around the Route 83/Kensington/Rand intersection. He
also stated that there are some Village concerns regarding the proposed lOOT solution for the
intersection which will need to be addressed. There was discussion regarding the preferred legs of
the ring road to relieve the congestion at the intersection.
The Village Board directed the Village Manager to continue to obtain proposed costs for property
acquisition and enter into further discussions with lOOT regarding the status of the project.
Village Manager Janonis also requested some direction regarding a resident request for the
vacation of property on Sunset and Edgewood. He inquired whether the Village Board felt that
the Village should obtain a value for the property to give property to adjacent property owners even
though it is likely that a developer is interested in redeveloping part of the property.
Village Board members expressed a preference to obtain value for the property.
Village Manager Janonis provided an update regarding the Bank One property and suggested the
Village consider moving forward with the Bank One property assessment based on recent
discussions with the Mount prospect Public Library.
There was no other business discussed in Closed Session and the meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
No action was taken.
