The Closed Session was called to order at 8:41 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tern lade!, in the Central
Community Center Board Room. The purpose of the Closed Session was to discuss Litigation and
Personnel. Present were: Trustees Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert, Richard Lohrstorfer, Michaele
Skowron, Irvana Wilks and Michael lade!. Absent from the Closed Session was Mayor Gerald
Farley: Staff present included Village Manager Michael Janonis and Assistant Village Manager
David Strahl.
Minutes
Approval of Minutes of January 7, 2003. Motion made by Trustee Wilks and Seconded by Trustee
Corcoran. Minutes approved.
Approval of Minutes of December 3, 2002. Motion was made by Trustee Skowron and Seconded by
Mayor Pro Tern ladel. Minutes approved.
Approval of Minutes of November 6, 2002. Motion was made by Trustee Skowron and Seconded by
Mayor Pro Tern ladel. Minutes approved. Trustee Corcoran abstained.
LitiQation
Garcia v. Village of Mount Prospect and Police Pension Board
Garcia has demanded $60,000 for settlement and the proposal has been forwarded to the Pension
Board for consideration. Depending on their response, the Manager anticipates returning to the
Village Board possibly requesting authority for some contribution.
Personnel
Public Works Union Picketing
The Public Works Union has picketed the Village Hall several times and the staff has drafted a press
release if it is necessary to provide one to the newspapers when the timing is appropriate. However,
at this time, it is recommended that there be limited response from the Village based on the
picketing.

There was no further business and the Closed Session adjourned at 9:29 p.m.
