Village Manager Janonis stated that he is planning on meeting with Police Chief Ron
Pavlock to work out the Retirement Agreement details.

Mr. Strahl has suggested that the Village consider waiving the Trade Day policy for the
year 2000 but require repayment of Trade Days in the Fire Department for any days
traded during the year 2001.
General consensus of the Village Board members was supportive of this revision
to the Village Personnel Policy in this unique instance only.
Property Acquisition
Village Manager Janonis stated that the building on the corner of Busse and Elmhurst is
on the market for $475,000. Unfortunately, there is no money available to purchase
unless the money comes out of reserves or is borrowed. There was no action on this
item.
Mr. Janonis also provided an update regarding the proposed move of Northwest
Electric. He has been informed that moving may commence on October 27 and all the
necessary occupancies will be staged depending on the areas of the building which are
completed.
Litigation
Village Manager Janonis stated there is a possibility that a Law Suit has been filed
regarding the Zoning denial of the Spiewak property on Rand Road, however, the
Village is yet to be served and this information came from a newspaper reporter doing
some background research on the property.
