MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
OCTOBER 6, 1992
The Executive Session was called to order at 12:03 a.m., on Wednesday, October 7, in
the second floor Conference Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson
Street, for the purpose of discussing Litigation and Property Acquisition. Present at the
Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley; Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes,
Timothy Corcoran, Leo Floros, Paul Hoefert and Irvana Wilks. Also present were
Village Manager Michael Janonis and Director of Planning David Clements.
Litia:ation
Village Manager reviewed with the Mayor and Board of Trustees the recent decision of
\v ~ the Appellate Court in the Disconnection Suit. The decision allows for the property
~ owners to disconnect from the Village. There is currently a Stay of the decision pending
Z. h t .... an Appeal by the Village. Elected officials discussed their options regarding the
- feasibility of an Appeal.
Property Acquisition
Village Manager and David Clements reviewed with elected officials the current status
of the Auto Storage Yard/Prospect Body Shop relative to the death of Mrs. Beverly
Sideman. Mr. Clements relayed discussions he had with Village Attorney Barry Springer,
including the legal ramifications of acquiring the Auto Storage Yard without acquiring
the Body Shop portion of the operation. The elected officials took the information under
advisement.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 12:25 a.m. after a Motion by Trustee Clowes
and Seconded by Trustee Wilks.
