President Congreve called the meeting to order at 8:03 P.M. w~th

Trustee Bergen inquired about authorization of Manager to advertise
for bids for ~ree planting and the bill presented 6~r payment from
Hook's Nursery for 250 ~rees~ Trustee Bergen stated that approx- Tree bids
imately 25 trees,were planted in the 600-700 blocks of Wille~
Pine*and.-Russetl.street that were not replacements of removed or
dead trees. President Congreve stated he had so directed the Manager.
Trustee Bergen was advised funds for this program would be appropriated
from the tree t~mming budget.

Mr, King, Director of Finance, advised the Board Bond and Interes~
payments were due December 1st. and must be presented at the bank.
He requested reconsideration of the vote.

Under discussion, Trustees ~ere advised the trees have been inspected
and counted, and PubliccWorks Director has a ~ecord of the location of
each.

RIVERHURST HOME AND GARDEN CLUB
Riverhurst HomeMrs. Meyer, 717 Eastman Drive, addressed the Board about placing
g Garden Club decorative plants and carved redwood "Riverhurst" si§ns at the
entrances to the subdivision. Sec. 9.501 of the Municipal Code
specifies permission must be granted by the Board ~o plant in
parkways. Trustee Ekren cautioned Mrs. ~:/dsyer about the possibility
of vandalism. Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Grit=an=, moved
permission be granted To Riverhurst Home and Garden Club to be~u~i~
the enTranceways as outlined in accordance with their letter of
Noven~ber 9th.

Attorney was directed To approach the possibility of purchasing the
NorthwesTern Railway land used for municipal parking lots.
Repor~ on E. Hofert's bill in the amount of $453.00 given by
Trustee Bergen. Judiciary Con,mi=tee recommended bill be paid and Village
E. Hofert Treasurer obtain full release for~any claims against the Village.
Bill Village Board at meeting bald September 28, 1965, concurred.
Present cousel recommends bill be paid at this time, without obtain-
ing full release from Mr. Nofert in view of the fact that other
money Mr. Hofert claims is To be determined at another date. Trustee
Bergen moved, seconded by Trustee Colfer, to amend motion of Board aT
September 28, 1965 me~ting, and direct Village Treasurer To pay bill
in the amount of S~58.00 due Mr. E. Hofert.

Memk Motors for Plymouth ~lvedere, and purchase of two cams at a cars

be directed to purchase two Plymouth Belvedere cars at purchase
price stipulated by the bidder, Mark Motors, in the amount of

Car #125, Mr, King informed The~Board the Village mechanic could Car #125

$110-$260, The Village Manager was instructed to have the work.done,
Fire and Police Committee reported on rack-type flashing dome lights
and ~hree-way woofer which is removable and of great value from
safe~y standpoint at accident scenes, for traffic coetrol and as an
emergency vehicle, Committee suggests consideration of purchase of
additional units in next budget,

JUDICIARY COMMITTEE REPORT - Trustee Bergen
Zoning Case 65-1~, Village of Mount Prospect, heard June 25 and
July 18, 1965 studied by Judicia~yCo~mmittee. Request To amend
Old O~chard ZOD/~ Ordinance by reclassifyin~ to R-1 District, all those
rezone to R-1 portions of the Village lying east of Rand Road~ south of Camp
McDonald Road~ west of Elmhu~st Road and north of Euclid Avenue
p~operty presently zoned PL A"A~ "B" and PL "C". Zoning Board
recommends repeal of Ordinance No. 992 and meclassification of
property cited in Village's request to the R-1 District. Judiclar~
Committee recommends concurrence and Village Attorney be directed
to prepame necessaz~ ordinances for amendments ~o Zonin~ Ordinance.

Signals - Elm- (Rte. 83) and Lonnquist Blvd, pending approval of expenditure by
burst & LonnquistMFT. Trustee Bergen moved to authorize President Congreve or the
Manager to negotiate with the property owner at Rte. 83 and Lonnqulst
Blvd. offering to make the improvement at no cost to him if he will
make the necessary dedication at no cost to the Village~ or~ if he
objects~ to direct the attorney to prepare the .necessary papers for
special assessment and condemnation to accomplish the signalization.
