MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES
HELD NOVEMBER 9, 1965
President Congreve called the meeting To order at 8:00 P.M, with

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

proval and publication of Ordinance 1107: Ord. 1107

Ordinance requiring indemnity bond for all projecting signs,
1107 requiring previously read, was referred to Building Committee for study be~
indemnity bond cause attorney advised requirement of insurance ri~er'instead of
signs bond.
Ordinance regulating storage sheds, previously read, was referred to
Storage sheds Building Committee for study, to be presented for a second reading in
Two weeks.
JUDICIARY COMMITTEE - Trustee Bergen
Trustee Bergen read for first reading an ordinance granting a var-
iation to the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance to permit the erection
Di Mucci of a 500,000 gallon water reservoir in the Elk Ridge Villa Sub-
reservoir division (Di Muccl Zoning Board of Appeals Case 65-25). Trustee
Bergen requested the Clerk to place t.his on next week's agenda for
second reading.
Trustee Bergen read for first reading an ordinance amending Map
Map 28-S 28-S of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance changing the zoning
of Golfhurst Estates Subdivisio~ from R-1 to R-X (Case 65-26).
Trustee Bergen requested the Clerk to place on next week's agenda
for second reading.
Annexation ordinance for Brocato property lying south of Lincoln
Street and east of Meier Road to be ~laced oN the agenda for the
Brocato annex next Board Meeting due to requirement of ten days prior notice
to the Fire Protection District.
PROCLAMATION
Pr~es~dent Congreve read a Proclamation giving support to public
Proclamation observance of "Operation Boost" to raise the morale of our
"Operation Armed Forces overseas.
Trustee Colfer requested all citizens to fly flags on Ye~erans
Day, November llth.
MILLION GALLON RESERVOIR
1,000,000 gal. The following bids for the reservoir were opened at 2:00 PM on
reservoir November 3, 1965:

Director of Public Works and the Acting Village Manager recom-
mend that the Public Works Oommittee accept the low bid from
the Chicago Bridge and Iron Co,
Trustee Cglfer, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to accepz the
low bid of Chicago-Bridge and Iron Company in the amount of $59,780.

Board of Local Improvements recommends To the Village Board of Trustees.
that an ordinance be adopted providing for a local improvement to
pave portions of Lincoln Street, Milburn Avenue and Manawa Trail. SA Lincoln, Milburr
Trustee Bergen read for f~rst reading an ordinance providing for the Manawa
above local improvement and the Clerk was directed to schedule for
a second ~eading on:nex~ week's agenda.
COOK COUNTY ZONING BOARD
The following three cases are b&ing heard by the Cook County Zoning
Board on November lB, 1965:
Docket #960 - change in zoning from R4 (single family residence)~to County Zoning
R5 - (General Residence) of 42 acres. This is the Magnus Farm and #960
the petitioner wants the zoning for the operation of a nursing home. Magnus Farm
The Board was reminded that the requested zoning would also permit
the erection of apartments. Trustee Teichemt move~, seconded by
TruStee Grittani, to direct Village Manager, Chair~nan of the Zoning
Board and Village Attorney ~o appear at the hea~ing to request 21
days to object to the rezoning.

R5 (General Residence) of 4.95 acres on the west side of ~usse Road ~962

Trustee Colfer moved, seconded by Trustee Teichert, to direct Village Busse Rd.
Man~ger, Chairman of the Zoning Board and Village Attorney to appear
