Commission representatives referring to the detail studies which
fern th~ b~si~ f~r the Report. Most of the meeting w~s directed to
th~ pz~e~o~d ~mpto~ent of'~ ful~l time Youth Worker. The need far
a Youth Worker, his qualifications ~ud his je~ responsibilities
were m~jer point's cf discussion?
Youth Worker The Committee-of-the-Whol9 recommends to the V~]age Beard that:
A Youth Worker be'~empl~eye4 by the Village an a fuI1 t&me
basis $
2. The Youth Worker be administratively a part of the Police
Department; and.
3. The sumof $15,000.00 be budgeted for the present fiscal
year far compensation of a ~euth Worker end the costs
att-endant te the perf~-~mnco of his duties.
In order that these recommendations be meaningful, it is
further rece~anded that upon establishment efa permanent YOuth
Cemmiss±on end the appointment of m~mbers ~therete, said Yonth Com-
mission meet with the V~]age Attorney and a Committee of the Village
Board.design-at'ed'by't~e Village Pres~dent-for %he purpose of:
1. Drafting an .ordinance establishing the office of Youth
Worker with its definitions and responsibilities; and
2. ~¥epoaing the qualifications far use as a guide in
