FICATES OF O~PPANCY. Ville Bldg.
I Mr. DiMmcci~ Jr. requested reconsideration of May l?~ 1966 Per. its
~ directive to the W~lage Manager to withhold ~11 building and
occupancy permits in the are~ serviced by Utility Sewer mud
Water Company until evidence satisfactory to the Manager and
V~laEe Attorney has been furnished showing by Escrow Agreeme~t~
contracts and agreements that a suitable lift station w%]~ be
built to service Elk Ridge V~lla east of Busse Avenue.
DiMucci requested a motion from the Board rescinding the above
dire ct i~e.
June 7, 1966
Mr. William Cadigan of Consoer, Townsend and Associates stated
Flooding a lift station is the only solution to the problem. Residents
Elk Ridge Villa of Elk Ridge Villa could have individual relief from flooding
if they had sump pumps in their basements but the over-all
problem is the responsibility of Utility Sewer and Water Co.
A letter from Consoer, Townsend reported on their investigation
of Elk Ridge Villa and recom~en~d a 2-pump lift station installa-
tion at a cost of approximately $28~000. If a force main is
required to take lift station discharge to Busse Rd. an
additional cost of $9,000 would be for 8" cast iron pipe. ~--
Elk Ridge V~ll~ Mr. DiMucci claimed it was unfair of the Village to withhold
Bldg. Permits permits and certificates of.occupancy because of responsibility
of Utility ~e~er and Water Company, a separate company not
connected with DiMucci Home Builders.
Mr. Thomas l~ranka of Park Ridge, general mauager of Utility
Sewer and Water Co. stated he would like a thorough study of
complete system and the Board concurred. It was agreed to
meet with representatives of Utility Sewer and Water at the
regular July 5th Board Meeting, at which time their proposal
would be presented.
Other, items on Mr. DiNucci'~ letter of request were ~Apartments"'
which had been previously referred to the Judiciary Committee
'for study; the matter of dry wall is in~ the Building Committee;
$200 bond ordinance passed by the Board at a previous meeting.
Trastee Teichert expressed his objections to the $200 bond
ordinance because in his opinion it would be proper to have a
limitation on the amount of money that can accumulate. 'It was
requested, that this matter be ag~ placed in Committee.
President Congreve referred it to Building Committee.
Continental Air CONTINenTAL AIR TRANSPORT CO.
Transoort Co. Mr. Thomas F. Meagher, representing Continentsl Air Transport Co.
~ appeared before the Board to inform the members of a proposed
bus service from Barrington end the other~towns in between to
O'Hare Field. It is to be restricted to plane passengers who
would boar~ the bus at the railroad depots.
Mr. Jas. Madler' of United Motor Company appeared as an objector.
President Congreve informed the two representatives that the
Board is not lu a position to pass on a discussion of private
enterprise. All Board~ Nembers concurred.
A recess was called, and the Board~reconvened at 9:50
