President Congreve called the meeting to order
8:03 P.M. with the following members present:
Colfer Gri~tanl Ekren Bergen Teichert Bruhl Roll call
Trustee Colfer gave the invocation.
Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Ekren, moved Minutes
for the approval of the minutes of May llth as submitted.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Colfer Grittani Ekren
Bergen Teichert Bruhl
Motion carried.
Trustee Grittani, seconded by T~ustee Bruhl, moved Bills
for the approval of the' following bills:

Motion carried.
Trustee Bergen~ seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved
to open bids for purchase of police cars. This motion carried Bids
by acclamation. Police cars

The foregoing bids were referred ~o the Police Committee for
study and recommendation.
May 18, 1965
Trustee Bergen, seconded by Trustee Colfer, moved
for the passage of ordinance which would create the office
Establish Office of Director of Public Works, abolishing the offices of Street
Public Works Superintendent and Water SuPerintendent. Trustee Bruhl pro-
tested that although this matter had been discussed by the
previous Board, ha had not been consulted by this Board, even
though he is on the Street Committee. This matter.was .
deferred to be taken up at the next meeting.
Trustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee G~ittani, moved
Beep license to instruct the Village Attorney to draw up ordinance provid-
non-profit lng for issuance of beer license for non-profit and religious
or religious groups for a period not to exceed 7 days, one license per day
groups to.be issued at a time.

Trustee Bergen gave the following Judiciary Commit-
tee report:
Re: Plat of Subdivision, Elk Ridge Villa Unit 7
Plat of Subd. Recommendation: The Judiciary.Committee unanimously reco~mnends
Elk Ridse Villa that the Village revoke its approval of.the subject plat of sub-
Unit 7 division.
The Developer has not complied with all of the Village ordinances.
This plat has not been recorded by the Village.
Trustee Bergen, seconded by Tmustee Colfer, moved for passage of
Res. 15-65:
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE APPROVAL OF A FINAL PLAT

Motion carried.
President Congreve explained that the Board was rescinding appro-
val of plat of Unit 7 because the necessary bond had not been
posted.
T~ustee Bergen read the following report from the
Judiciary CommiTtee:
Re: Zoning Ordinance and map as'of December 31, 1964.
Kecommendationt
The Judiciary Committee recommends that the Village
ZBA hearing Clerk be directed to schedule a hearing by the Zoning Board
Zone Ord. S of Appeals on the subject-Zoning O~dinance and map and direct
map The Zoning Board to report its recommendation to the Board of
T~ustees, after said hearing.
Trustee Bergen, seconded by Trustee Colfer, moved to
repeal Res. 63-38 which equalizes sums spent for legal notices
Res. 63=38 in the.local papers. Trustee Bruhl objected, stating that this
sums for legal action deprived certain readers.of reading any legal notices at
notices all, and that putting the notices in more than one paper spread
the readership. Trustee Teichert replied that legal notices
are di~cult to locate at best, and he thought that they should
always he placed in the same place to he more easily found and
that the Herald had a wider circulation.

that the attorney be dissected to p~epare ordinance amending Set up
the municipal code to set up the committees as follows: Committees
Make Police and Fire, one committee
Make Street and Water, one committee
Set up Public Health and Safety committee

President Congreve refer~ed to letter distributed to
the parents of the graduating students of Prospect High School Prospect High
stating that the P~esident and Village Board of T~ustees were
sponsoring a party for them at Mt. P~ospect Country Club (Civic
Center); President Congreve let it be known that this party was
not being sponsored by this Board.
President Congreve read letter as follows:

Gentlemen:
The Mt. P~ospect Combined Appeal is now a member of
the newly fo~med Metropolitan Crusade of Mercy~ from which we Crusade of
hope to derive a good part of our funds. As a result of oum Mercy
pamticipation in the new Metro plan, however, our local campaign
will be handled somewhat differently than it has in past yeams.
Since the Crusade of Mercy begins its drive on
September 30, we would like to consider October as Combined
Appeal month in Mount P~ospect. During the period f~om Oct. 1
to Oot. 15, we will solicit local business and professional
people. From Oct. 22 through Oct. 31, we will conduct our resi-
dential ~ampaign, To reach individuals who have not been covered
by the Metropolitan Crusade.
We hope The Boaz~ of Tmustees will approve these dates.
Any publicity the Village can give us for Combined Appeal Month
(October) will be greatly appreciated. Should you wish additional
info~mation, please call any of the officers.

October of 1965 as Combined Appeal Month in Mount P~ospect.

Mr. Robert Di Leonardi, attorney for Anvan Corporation,
addressed the Board, referming to the fact that this corporation
had built their apartment complex as set forth in their zoning
appeal of July, 1964, Case 64-30, and were ready to install the Zone case
swimming pool portion of their plam, which comes under Special Use. 6~-30
T~ustee Bergen replied that he would set up a meeting with the
members of The Judiciary Committee~ inviting M~. Di Leonardi, and

discuss it with the Village Attorney; meanwhile Mr. Di Leonardi
64-30 was given pez~ission to discuss his request with A%torney
rem Smith.
Adjournment by acclamation at 8:45 P.M., to be fol- __
