JULY 25t 1967
Before the meeting was called, Mr. John Weber of the 50th Anniversary
Committee was invited to outline the plsns for the 50th Anniversary
Celebration to be held September 22,' 23, 24th. Publicity will be
distributed through various media - Paddock Publications and P~ospect Report on
Day will have special magazine sections, the Chicago Tribune and 50th
Daily News will have a feature story the week before the ce~ebration, ~nniversary
WB~M ~nd ~WAQ will have radio announcements, general mailings will be Co~uittee
circulated, 1,000 bmuper stickers will be distributed, a special
Mount ~ospect Post Office cancellation stamp will be used, a~ special
con~emorative coin with the offici~I Village emblem on one side and
Golden Anniversary on the other will be issued for sale at 35~, bus
transportation has been arrauged, 120 pole decorations will be displayed,
a large stage is being erected for a pageant of antique and~ums~al~
automobiles, and on all three evenings, the largest light bulb in the
world,will be lit by President Congreve. Ill~uin~tion of the Village
Hall and water tower has been planned, and Commonwealth Edison is
donating the cost. Dancing, ol~-fashined costm~es and other events
were listed, as well as a parade which would continue for 3-1/2 hours.

Trustee Colfer gave first reading of an ordinance establishing-a ~ BOLI Ord.
of Local Improvements and requested the Clerk to schedule it for a
second reading on the next agenda.

Appointments -President Congreve named Marshall Petersen, 124 N. Russell, as a member
Safety of the Safety Commission for a one-year term, and Fred Manuele,
Co~ission 620 N. :Falrview, for a two-year term. Trustee Rogers, seconded by
Trustee Grittani, moved to concur with the President's appointments.

Louis Munao's plat of subdivision has been approved by the Plan Munao's
Commission. The linen has met all req,~ements of the applicable plat of
code. It will be presented to the Board of Trustees at the next subdivision
regular meeting.

The next Judiciary Committee meeting will be held August 4. Under
consideration at .that meeting will be Case No. 67-9A Mr. Spielman~ to Case 67-9A
operate a laundry pic$-up service in the railroad depot; Case No. 67-10P, 67-10]
R. Starck rezoning 209 N. Main; ~No. 67-22A J. Gorman, variation for 67-22A
garage; No. 67-11P Losocco and Springston 1020-25 E. Algonquin request 67-11P
to rezone for multiple-family; No. 67-14P South Church request to rezone 67-~4P
for parking lot property adjacent; No. 65-15 Holiday Inn - swimming pool. 65-15
The Clerk was requested to notify petitioners. Hearing at 8:00 P.M.
Trustee Lewis requested the following items be removed from Judiciary
Committee:
1. Aunexation School District 59 S. of Pheasant Trail.
2. Case 67-2P rezone RA to R1 property north of Central West of Busse.
3. Board of Appeals request to change scheduled meeting date for
hearings.
