PRESENTATION OF COLORS ' Colors Boy Scout T~oop 55 from St. Raymnnd's Church, under the ,leadership of Chester Pestrak, Scoutmaster, presented the colors. INVOCATION Invo c at ion Trustee Kilroy gave the invocation, Presentation PRESENTATION TO BOY SCOUT TROOP 55 to Scouts President Congreve presented a check in the amount of $20G.00 f~cm Barrington Trucking Company to Boy Schout Troop 55 for their assistance in tagging garbage pails to notify citizens of changes in pick-up dates. Mr. Young, Chairman of the Plan Commission, and Mr. Ross, Vice-Chairman were present and the Trustees com~e~lted on the voluminous work involved Lu the preparation of ~he Comprehensive Plan and commended the Plan Commission on its final completion. The Village Fzmu~er was requested to report at the next regular meeting with an estimted cost on 500 copies of the Comprehensive Plan based on cost of printing to arrive at a price per booklet to be made available to the general p~blic. Annex FIBST BEADING OF ALGONQUIN ROAD ANNEXATION 1st reading Trustee Kilroy read for first reading an ordinance annexing certain property along Algonquin Road and requested the Clerk to plaee it on the next agenda for second and final reading. JUDICIARY CO~I'i'i'~E REPORT CALLICK CORP. RESUBDIVISION AT LINCOLN, NORTHWEST HWY. AND S. EDWARD CASES 68-2P, 68-3P, 68-5E 68-6P 68-2P Case 68-2P is a ~'rsquest to rezone property at 810 E. Northwest Highway from B-3 to B-2. This initial request is for a reduction in zoning with an office building proposed. It Was recommended by the Plan Conmmission for rezoning by' a vote of 8-0 and Judiciary Committee concurred by a 2-0 vote. 68-3P Case 68-3P is a request to rezone 846 E. Lincoln from R-i to P-1 for additional parking as an accessory use for the proposed office building. The Plan Commission reco~nded approval by a vote of ?-1 and the Judiciary Committee concurred by a vote of 2-0. 68-2P Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved in the Case 68-2P of the property at 810 E. Northwest HiEhw~, the Board of Trustees concur in the recon~endation of the Judiciary Committee, confirming the recorm~ndation of the Plan Co~aniasion to rezone the property to B-2. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilory Lewis Rogers Teichert Motion carried. Trustee Tei~hert, seconded by Trustee Lewis, moved the Board concur with the reconmendation of the Judiciary C~ommittee, confirming the recommendation of the Plan Con, mission, to rezone the property at 846 E. Lincoln (Case 68-3P) from R-1 to P-1. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittmni Kilroy Lewis Rogers Teichert Motion carried. 68-2P Trustee Teichert read for first reading two ordinances amending Map 20S and 68-~P 1st of the Zoning Map to rezone 810 E. Northwest Highway and 846 E. Lincoln reading of as outlined above and requested the Clerk to place these two ordinances ordinances on the next agenda for second reading. rezon~Eg Trustee Rogers disqualified himself from voting in Case 68-5A, which was 68-5A a petition for variation to allow building height of ~34 feet for the proposed office building at 810 E. Northwest Highway, because of conflict of interest. In Case 68-5A the Board of Appeals recommended approval by a vote'of 4-0. The Judiciary Committee recowmends approval in confirmation with the Board of Appeals recommendation for granting the variation .~ Trustee Teichert moved the Board of Trustees concur in the recommendation of the Judiciary Con~nittee and confirm the rec~,~endation of the Board of Appeals reconmendation, granting a 6' variation for building height to a maximum of 34' for th.e proposed office building at 810 E. Northwest Highway. The motion was seconded by Trustee Rieter. Upon roll call: Ayes: Rieter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Teichert Motion carried. 68-6P Plat Case 68-6P is approval of the subdivision plat and the Clerk was ~ of Subdiv. requested to place this matter on the next agenda. 68-5A Trustee Teichert read an ordinance granting a 6' variation as requested by the p~titioner in Case 68-5A and directed the Cl~rk to place it On the agenda of the next regular meeting for second reading. 68-5P MOBIL OIL PLAT OF SUBDMSION RAND RD. & RTE 83 ' Mobil Oil CASE 68-5P The Village Manager reqported the attorney for the petitioner Plat ha~ contacted him this day and offered two proposals: t) ente~ iht0 a type of agreement to dedicate an additional 10' on Foundry Rd. if and March 12, 1968 68-5P Mobil when the State needed same, or 2) Give sn easement of 10' adjacent to theOil Plat 7' already didicated, for highway purposes, giving a total ~f 17' and place a si~n on the 10' easement until such time as the property is needed. However, this was not in accord with the discussion between the Judiciary Conm~ittee end the representatives of Mobil Oil. The Plan Commission, by a vote of 4-2 approved the subdivision plat after the easement had been straightened and building setbacks of 30' on Rte. 83, 30' on Rand Rd. and 20' on Foundry. The plat shows an existing 3~' dedication with 7' to be dedicated. The Judiciary Committee concurred with the Pl~u Co~mission as far as the easement on the back property and setbacks, but it was lacking an additional 10' as required in the ordinances. The Judiciary Committee by a vote of 2-0 recc~r~ended concurrence with the Plan Commission to approve the subdivision plat with an additional 10' or a total of 50' shown dedicated on the north portion of the property at the section line. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee R6gers., moved the Board concur in the recommendation of the Judiciary Con~nittee. Trustee Rogers, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to table the above motion until lthe next meeting in order that the Trustees have more of a back- ground in Case 68-5P. COOK COUNTY ZONING DOCKET #1309 Cook Col PETITION TO REZONE THE NORTHWEST CORNER FOUNDRY & WOLD FOR BRICKMAN GAS Docket #1309 STATION The Village Manager reported representatives from the Village appeared at a public hearing in Arlington Heights on the matter and apprised the Zoning Board of Appeals that the Village has paSsed an ordinance calling for a referendum to determine annexation of the subject property. The County Judge has accepted the petition and set April 1st as the date to file objections. The County Zoning Board of Appeals put the matter over indefinitely until final determination in whether the property would be incorporated into the Village of Mount Prospect. ~ TO BE REFERRED Downtown Park- Trustee Lewis, seconded by Trustee Teichert, moved to refer the item of ing by S.A. Unanimous. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Lewis, moved to refer the item of Kallan & Braun "Plat of Re-Subdivision - Kaplan and Braun" be referred to the Plan Plat Ccmmis sion. Unanimous. The Bauer Report - proposed studies for flood control of Weller Creek wat~r- shed was referred to the Public Works Committee. Msint Contract Trustee Grittaui reported a tentative meeting of the Public Health and Safety Committee was to meet March 20th, but the Chairman is awaiting receipt of an ordinance sent to the State for approval. Trustee Rogers called a special meeting of the Public Works Committee for 8:00 PM March 13th for consideration of bid items.' Trustee Kilroy reported a meeting of the Finance Committee would be held March 18th at 7:30 P.M. ADJOURNFENT Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the meeting be adjourned.
