Heimhaugh member of the Ludustrial Development aud Economical Commdssion. resigns November 25, 1969 CITIZENS TO BE HEARD Mr. Arthur Lovi, 421 North M~ple, ~ppeared before the Board Want no parking and presented a petition si~ned by residents within a two-block on Maple radius, requesting sigus stating the no-parking regulations. ~he ordiusnce regulating overflight parking was referred to the Fire and Police Co~ttee for review. Kenroy P~BLIC HEARING - PRE-ANNEXATION AGRE~ - EENROY Mr. John Bickley represented Kenroy, Inc. and the pre-annexation agreement was studied by the Board. After considerable discussion Tm~_stee Furst, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved to approve the pre-annexation agreement in the fo~m as presently discussed, including ex, bits, With direction to the Village Attorney to draft a suitable resolution to be presented at the ~xt regular meeting of the Board on December 2, 1969 for approval of authoriz- ation of the signatures of the President and Clerk to be affixed to the pre-annexation agreement. (During discussion, the meeting was recessed from 10:00 P. M. to 10:20 P. Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Retier, moved to authorize purchase of the purchase from the low bidder,. Traverse City Iron Works, fire hydrants Traverse City, Michigan fire hydrants with breakaway flanges and necessary appurten~mees for an amount not to exceed the budgeted figure of $2,500. FINANCE RESOLUTION 32-69 Resolution 32-69 Trustee Kilroy., seconded by Trustee Reiter, m~ved for passage of Resolution 32-69: (A resolution regarding ~ailing of agendas and minutes and fees involved) Under discussion, Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trust. ee Forst, moved to amend the resolution to modify Section~ 3 to read "Cb~1rlnen and at no cost". T~ustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved for passage of Ordinance #2204: Ordinance #2204 AN ORDINANCE AMHNDING SECTIONS 13.107 OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT MUNICIPAL CODE Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Furst Kilroy Norris Reiter Soderman Motion carried. Trustee Reiter wished it noted in the minutes that although he voted in favor of Ordinance #2204 it did not signify that he approved the fees involved. Trustee Kilroy reported his Committee had discussed the possibility may match of matching funds in the amount of $15,000 with the Historical funds for Society for the acquisition of a building but the matter has not Historical been resolved and will be considered at the next Finance Cormmittee Society meeting. Trustee Kilroy requested "Indemnity Agreement Metropolitan Sanitary Dist~ict" be removed from the charge sheet. Trustee Kilroy reported the officials of the Mount Prospect Library will appear before his Cormmittee in December regarding their request for a parking lot. FIRE AND POLICE Request for no parking at any time of the south side of Henry Street from Fairview to Forest was reviewed by the Cc~Tmittee. It~wa~ ~ecormr~nded that the administration check the feasibi- lity of utilizing various lots in the business area and also the stepping down of the east end of the fence at Henry and Fairview. The request for no parking was referred to the Safety Con~lItSSton and a further report will be made. The Committee requested removal of "No parking south side of Walnut Street 8 AM to 4 PM" from the charge sheet. Petition for No Parking 500 block S. ~merson was an item charged to the Fire and Police Committee for review. The Con~nittee requested referral to the Safety Conm~sston. Also, the Committee rec~nded, by a vote of 2-0, that the Village Manager move to implement whatever rec~w~endation the Safety Ccmmittee makes as soon as that reco~m~ndatlon is made. November 25, 1969 Petition for no parking on CanD~ta was studied by the Con~Littee. After consideration, the Con~kLttee recommended by a vote of 2-0, that the administration be instructed to erect appropriate signs to eliminate parking on the east side of CanDota only, in the NO designated area, on school days. Discussion followed on proper Parking authorization and possible enforcement if it is mot in ordinance form. JUDICIARY Case 69-29P Butch McGuire's - Case 69-29P - petition to rezone from RX to Redwood Iran-- BOO E. ~ Road (formsrly Wayne's Redwood) The Cc~m~Ittee by a vote of 2-0, recommended concurrence with the recon~endation of the Plan Co~Ission to deny the petition by reason of the fact that all people residing within 250' of the subject property did not receive notice of the public hearing. Trustee Soderman, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved to concur with the recoMMendation of the Plan Conm~ssion and Judiciary Com- mittee to deny the petition in Case 69-29P. PUBLIC WORKS CO~I'I'£'~E Improvement Improvement of CanDota north of Go~lf Rd. was considered by the of Can Dota Public Wor~s Comnittee. It was reco~nended that the Village Manager attempt to obtain a signed p~at of dedication (the plat has been prepared) from the abutting landowner (Martha and Mary Lutheran Church) in order that the sewer to~ be installed by Kenroy won't be delayed whe~ it is ready ~o be layed down CanDota. By way of in- formation, the Manager reported he has discussed this matter with Kenroy, and the developer advised he will have the plat of dedication executed. Works Cormmittee requested the Village Manager make a comparison of maintermnce costs Of traffic signals over thePinner Electric past year with the costs that would be incurred under the agree- ment tendered by Pinner Electric.
