Change wording - p~e 4 of ~e~ as follows: "The Village Engineer
reviewed both systems and it appeared that either a forced main type
objectively would be more feasible. However, the long-range ~aintenance
of a roreed main system would mndoubtedly place futu~e,?expense of the
Village that would not be present with a gravity type sewer."
Trustee Reiter, seconded by ?~ustee Soderman, moved the minutes of
the special meeting of June 24, 1969 be approved as amended.

The acting Villsge Manager reported that bonds in the amount of
$7,247.50 have been received for 682 linear feet of sidewalk along
the ~est side of Rand Road and for 378 feet of water main.

Attorney Dudley Sullivan appea~ed before the Board to discuss the
rezoning of property at 107, 109, 111 S. t~erson St. and 106~ 108,
110 and 112 S. Maple St. from R.1 to B-2.1. The Judiciary Com?~[ttee,
by a vote of 2,0, recommended the rezoning if Maple St. were widened.
and this be done at the expense of the petitioner, the bank deed over
in fee s~le absolute, 25 feet of preperty no~h of and abutting the exist-
ing northerly 158 ft. llne of the m~aicipal parking lot ~nd the 7 lots
be resubdivlded. If the petitioner failed to meet the requirements the
Judiciary Cor~mittee, by a vote of 2-0, recorw~ended denial. However, after
considerable discussion, the case was referred back to the Judici~_~y
Cor~ittee for further review on July 17th at 8:00 P. M.
CASE 69-10P - ~3I~rINGTON F~TATES PROGRESS R~POPT Case 69-10P
Request for R,4 zoning under PbqD of property located south of Golf Rd.
West of El~hurst Road and north of Dempster ,Ir. high School, presently
outside the village limits. The Judiciary Committee briefly re-
viewed the prear~exation agreement and requested that all trustees
receive a copy for study. The administration will review all pa]ns,
drawir~s and agreements and draft a proposed ordinance under Sec. 5,1
6~ the Zoning ordinance. A further report will be made by Judiciary
Con~.dttee.

A review of the motorcycle helret ordinance '~as made and the Committee Motorcycle
felt it should r~ain in effect. Discussion followed re~rding its helmet
validity due to the fact that the state statute had been repealed, ordinance
Street lights at Shabonee and Lincoln on P~te. 8B are on the charge
sheet. Due to the present survey being made on traffic intersections,
this item remains charged to the Public Health and Safety Committee until
a reco~mmendation has beton made.
In view of the interests creat~ on the part of citizens regarding air- aircraft
: craft noise abatement, Trustee Furst reported his Committee will try to noise
discuss this matter at a public hearimg ~,f_th representatives from.~he abatement
i airlines to explain the problems involved.
The ~orthern Illinois Plaunlr~ Com~ission report was deferred to the
aFenda of the next re~lar meetirlq.
OTHER BUSINESS
Resolutions of Appreciation ~ll~obe presented at the July 15 meeting
to core,end the services of former President Con~e~e, Trustee Gritts2%i,
Vill&ge Clerk Monroe and Village Yanager Robert F. Moore.
It was the reco~ndation of the ad~inistrati0n that the next bud~et
include sufficient funds for the purcnaoe of a vehicle for the Village
Engineer. However, in the interim, Trustee Reiter, secon~e¢] by Trustee
Lewis, moved the Acting Vill~e Msn~er be ~iven authorization to buy
