Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the minutes of the
regular meetlug of March 18, 1969 0e approved as submitted.

of Ordinance #2161:

100 to 200 FEET EAST OF MARCELLA ROAD

OTHER BUSINESS
A memo was received from the Village Manager submitting current prices
for Spring planting of trees from Lundstrom Orchard Hills Nursery,
and a comparison of prices given in August, 1968, showing a drop in the
wuotations for various types of trees to be planted. It was recommended
by the administration that the quotations be accepted for the extension
of the plantings based on the prices submitted, and the Manager re-
quested Board concurrence. Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Soderman,
moved to award the bid to the low bidder, lundstrom Orchard Hills Nursery
for the parkway tree planting as recormnended.

Nays: Grittani Teichert
Motion carried.
The Village Clerk submitted a list of Judges of election for April 15, 1969
municipal election and requested Board concurrence in the appointment.

Motion carried.
Trustee P~iter, seconded by Trustee Soderman, moved to set the fee for
each Judge of election at $30.

APPOINT~F_AwIS
President Congreve named Gilbert B. Basnick, 902 Golfview, as a member
of the Board of Appeals to fill the term being vacated by Donald Goodman
which expires in 1971, and reqUested Board concurrence.
Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Reiter~ moved to concur with the
President ' s appointment.

Motion carried.
President Congreve named Glen Thornell~ 413 N. Pine, a~ a member of the
Board of Appeals to fill the term being vacated by Donald Furst, ex-
piring in May, 1969. He requested Board concurrence.
Trustee Lewis, seconded by Trustee Reiter~ moved to concur with the
President ' s appointment.

Motion carried.
Because the regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees falls
on the nunicipal election d~kv, April 15, 1969, Trustee Reiter, seconded
by Trustee Soderman, moved the next regular meeting be scheduled for
April 22, 1969.

Motion carried.
A n~morsndum from President Congreve to the Board outlined the possibility
of purchase of 212 S. Emerson Street~ a piece of property 150 ft. x 155 ft.~
with a two-story brick residence on the land which is vacant and vandalized.
The attorney~ representing several heirs of Henry Clansing~ is presently
out of the country and will not return until May. This matter was de-
ferred until further discussion can be held with the attorney.

Des Plaines airplane noise abatement resolutimn was referred to Public
Health and Safety Committee.
Approval of plat outside Village limits (Lincoln-Douglas Subdivision)
was referred to the Plan Commission.
Linen of annexation and subdivision - Mack Cadillac was referred to
the Plan Commission.
Petition re restoration of area Golf and Elmhurst Rd. was referred to
the Public Works Committee.
Petition for improvement of Candota immediately north of Golf Road was
referred to the Public Works Committee.
Report on Police Pension Fund by the State of Illinois -Dept. of
Insurance - was referred to the Finance Committee.
Case 68-53P - Request to rezone property north of Central on Westgate R~.
B-1 to R-1 was referred to the Judiciary Committee.
Case 69-5P - Petition by Martin Oil tor rezone from I-1 to B-4 the
northwest corner Central Rd. and Northwest Highway was referred to the
Judiciary Committee.
Case 69-4P - Pre-annexation zoning hearing - Mack Cadillac - was referred
to the Judiciary Committee.
Memorandum on supporting the Metropolitan Sanitary District on pending
legislation was referred to the Public Works Convaittee.
