President Teichert reported that Resolution No. 17-70 passed September
l, 1970 had certain limitations which, in effect, aborted censral dis-
patching. Fore one~ the locaticn for the operation as cited in the CENTRAL
A~ement attached to the Resolution was Elk Grove Village. Secaudly, PDLICE RADI(
the proDorticnate shares, i. ~, Arlington Heights - 53.1%, Elk Grove - DISPATCH
17.7%~ Mo%nt Prospect - 29.2%, and thirdly~ the tezm~tnation clause - not
less than 30 days after termination of the first 18 months.
The Acting Villag~ Manager was requested to present another resoluticn
with a modified Agreement for ccrmidsration at the October 20th rsgula~
Board Meeting.

Northwestern Railroad request for paz~in~ ~x~ansic~.~.. and ~ce.~%billt,~ of Stef~n~ch
~arkin~ m~ter, rate increase - The Contortive discussed the pces~bili~y of
the expansica of paz~ing racillties; the possibility of moving the exist- N.~.
inE ~ail~ad static~ east to a point east of Maple Street extended; the psrking
possibility ~£ developing a railroad crossing mt Maple Street; the possi- exp@nsion
bility that the Railroad would pick up a good portic~ if net all~ of the & ~eter
cost of the new meters to be placed in the railroad lot; and the possi- rate incr-
bility of increasing parking meter rates to 505 per day at the railroade, ase
parking lot location.
The C~.~ttee cc~sidered the purchasing of a portion o£ real estate lo-
cated near railroad facilities. Since this matter cmncerns land acquisi-
tiau it will be discussed in Executive Session.
The railroad has s~roved the Villa~'s request to ex, and the east rail-
road lot eaSterly another 150 feet more or~ less to Provide 20 additional
parkin~ spaces. The Acting Villa~ Manager will be c~utacted ~n the rail-
road administratimn's determination re~z~ting their payment for black-
topping of the additional area invol~d~ as well as the installation and
moving and/or any additional parking meters the railroad lets. Mr.
Warzack at FJW Industries would .like to utilize his property south of the
railroad tracks f~r off-street con~nuter pa~ktng for a fee. The railroad
advises it is in accordance with the request. (Refe-~d to Fire and
Police Committee). If the Villa~ should acquire ~dditic~al land~ the
railroad would cc~sider m~vingthe station to a locatic~ east of ~&Eple
Street. The Co~E~Ittee indicated approval of moving the static~ and
Mmple Street put throu~ to cross the tracks.
The Finance Committee recmvmended the con~uuter pa~ing meter rate be in-
creased to 50~. The railroad indicated approval.
Mt. Prospect Jr. Womens Club has approached the railroad regarding beautil~_cati
beauti~!cation. Hewever~ the railroad's policy is to deal c~ly with of
m~aictpal~ties. If Mo~t Prospect entered into a lease at $1 per year
for the ri~t-of-wa~ c~ either side of the tracks thro~out theVillag~
beautification could be accomplished with the Villa~ and Jr. Womens Club
wor~ing to~ther, The Acting Villa~ ~nager will pursue this by c~tact-
inE Mrs. Gilbert Spencer~ a menber of the organization.

recuest liquor Carson s is not interested in any catering license and withdrew the
license reGuest for an additional liquor license at the Pmnduurst location.

Board ccasideration. It was the recommendation to purchase ~00 trees ~ shade tree
