COF~UNICATIONS AND PETITIONS Mr. Edward Downs of the Prospect Heights Improvement Association, Prospect Heights which is co~prised of approximately 800 home owners, appeared Improvement before the Board to discuss the possibility of the incorporation Association of the community as a Village. By statute, it is required in the establishment of a new mnnicipality, the electors must have the approval of the n~nicipalities in the adjacent areas, which in this case would be Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights and Wheeling. After considerable discussion, it was the sense of the Board that Prospect Heights Lmprovement Association should poll the electors ~-- in the area they define to detersdne how the community would an- ticipate development. Mr. Henry Zedd, another representative from Prospect Heights, requested an opportunity to work with a conmdttee of the Village Board, but it was suggested he prepare a form of questicr~a~re to be submitted to the people of Prospect Heights, and if requeste~, the President and Board of Trustees would ~ake informal suggestions. PRES~NTATION OF ~ESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION - 16-70 - TO EDWIN The framed parchment to Resolution 16-70 was presented to ~rmer Fire Chief Edwin Haberka~p by President Teichert. PRESENTATION OF MOUNT PROSPECT FLAG TO 4-H CLUB Presentation of President Teichert presented the Village fl~__g to Robert Black, M.P. flaM to 4-H Leader, who was accompanied by Jo~n Moriarty, Bill Black and 4-H Club Eon Mason, members of the club. President Teichert stated he had received the resignation of Lawrence ~ESIGNATION OF Pairitz as Director of Civil Defense, since he has now assumed the Lawrence Pairitz duties of Fire Chief of Mount Prospect, and reconm~nded the appoint-as Director of ment of Danald Barra as Director of Civil Defense and Lowell Fell Civil Defense as Shelter Annex Director and requested Board concurrence. C~LL~RO AND CATIN0 PLAT OF SUBD/VISION Trustee Reiter presented the following protective covenants to be CALLERO & CATINO included on the C~llero and Catino plat of subdivision: PLAT OF SUBDIV- ISION PROTECTIVE COVHNANTS A. Lots 18, 19, and 20 in this subdivision are restricted for use PROTECTIVE as a detention basin to detain storm water runoff from all the lands COVENANTS in this subdivision for an undetermined period of time, conm~nctng with the installation of public ir~orovements in this subdivision and terminating when the owners of said lots 18, 19, and 20 shall assist in the cost of installing by private contract 450 feet of 30 inch storm sewer or the equivalent thereof to the natural water course, namely the Feehanville Drainage Ditch. B. At the time of the installation of said detention basin upon the said lots 18, 19, and 20, the owners of said lots 18, 19, and 20 shall cause the said detention basin to be fenced with a six (6) foot high chadnlink fence and skid owners will maintain the said detention basin and fence until the termination of the use of the said lots for detention basin purposes. C. These coMenants are to run with lots 18, 19, and 20 of this subdivision only and shall be b~inding on and inure to the benefit of all of the parties and persons claiming under them as well as the Village of Mount Prospect, a municipal corporation. D. The Northwest H!g~ plans are be- ing modified regarding removal of islands in the area and the pro- gram will continue. , At Central and Busse it will take three weeks to obtain certain easements for the street and then they will proceed with intorove- ment of the intersection. September 15, 1970 HUNTINGTON ESTATES PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PLANS & SPECS, OUTLET SEWER, HUNTINGTON PHASES I & II ESTATES The Acting Village Manager recon~mended approval of the improvement Public I~rove- plans and specifications subject to l) increase in the well storage ment area, 2) the stop-start sequence of the ptm%0s be revised and 3) that a 60 kilowat auxiliary generator be installed for the purpose of supplying auxiliary power. Trustee Norris, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to approve the --- Huntington Estates improvement plans and specifications, the out- let sewer and phases I and II subject to notations on the plans and the above three conditions. Bellwood, Ill. 60104 It is the recommendation of the Finance D~rector to purchase the vehicle stickers from the low bidder, Rydin Sign Co. Trustee Relter, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved to approve the purchase of 21,625 stickers from R~din Sign Co. for $843.37. The Board of Goodyear Ser~_ce Appeals voted for denial of the petition and decision is final.
