COY~ICATIONS AND PETITIONS protest Mr. Albert Motsch appeared before the Board as a representative of the tickets to Mount Prospect mail carriers to protest the issuance of traffic violation postal tickets served on the men while at work. Referred to the Village Mauager employees for investigation and report at the June 16th meeting. Mr. Motsch was in- vited to appear at that meeting. PRE-ANNEXATION AGREEMENT ROB ROY DRIVING RANGE Rob Roy pre annexation agreement Con, inured to June 16, 1970. continued FLOODING IN MONTSHIRE A~A The following residents of Tamarck Drive in Mountshire Subdivision in the unincorporated area were present at the meeting to, request assistance in flooding in the alleviation of flooding of their property: Mrs. Janice Gro7ak, 1404 Montshire S. Tamarack, Shirley Hungady, 1402 S. Tamarack Drive, Georgia Forestieri, area 1310 S. Tamarack, Sharon MaJewski, 1400 S. Tamarack, Barbara Rue, 1312 S. Tamarack and Rita Mueller, 1406 S. Tamarack. The problem appears to arise because of water flowing into the ~area from Arlington Heights. This matter was referred to the Public Works Committee and the Village Manager or Engin- eer, to work together with the residents and administration of Arlington Heights. The Manager was requested to check on the availability of ftmds to be used in the improvement of the ditch used in conjunction with the re- tention basin. STATUS REPORT ON W~,T, #11 Status repo::~ ~11 The contractors have been baling for approximately i 1/2 weeks and it has #11 been determined there is approximatly 170 Feet of sand to be baled. The Village Manager, reported he: is havirE a meeting with representatives of Miller Company next week to determine the problem and the responsibility. BESOLUrION ~-70 Resolution 12-70 A resolution was presented authorizing the Village to convey a "Release of Easement" to the State of Illinois which was acquired by the Village at the June 2, 1970 time it purchased the Utility Water and Sewer Uontoany faciliteis at the south end of Mount Prospect. The purpose oE the easement is to permit the construction and maintenance of sewer lines, manholes and other appurtenances on the premises of property held under trust by the LaSalle Natianal Bank. The easement was ~auted to the Utility Water and Sewe~ Co~oany on November 28, 1966. The easement ~b~eq~%F wa~ ~pn~eyed to the Village at the time it purchased DiYucci's water and sewer system. Trustee Norris, seconded by Trustee Kilroy, moved for passage of Resolution 12-70: Resolution 12-70 A RESOLUTION RW/EASING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Furst Eilroy.-~ Norris Reiter Sodermau Motion carried. PUBLIC WORKS EQUIP~NT Public Work~ Bids for the pruchase of two 32~000 51fW cab and chassis trucks, two Equipment eight cubic yard dump bozties, one Step-Van and Forward Control truck, and one 3/4 toh~ pi~kap truck were received at the Village Hall on May 19th. Nine area truck dealers submitted bids for purchase of the equipment. Bids meeting specifications were presented. Trustee Soderman, seconded by Trustee Reiter~ moved to purchase two 2 GVW trucks 32,000 GVW trucks from the low bidder, Grand-Spaulding Auto Sales in the amoun~ of $8,313.00 Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Furst Kilroy Norris Reiter Soderman Motion carried. Trustee Soderman, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved ~o purchase two eight cubic yard bodies from the low bidder, R. G. Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Soderman, moved to purchase a Step-Van Step-Van truck from the low bidder, Hoskins Chevrolet, Inc. in the amount truck of $7,909.00. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Furst Kilroy Norris Reiter Soderman Motion carried. 3/4 ton Trustee Soderman, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to purchase a 3/~ ton pizk up truck pickup truck from Gilmore International, Inc. low bidder, in the amount of $3,070.00. An agreement was presented An which Martha and Mary Lutheran Chruch at 606 West Golf, would dedicate thrity-three feet of the church property for CanDota Avenue right-of-way. The Manager reported that under the present budget plans do no~ call for widening of CanDota, but the propety is needed for sewer installation. It is anticipated that the sanitary sewer which will serve the Kenroy development will be installed in this right- of-way. Trustee Norris requested deletion of "Irsprovement of Dedicated Streets" from charge sheet. Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to authorize the Village President and Clerk ~o sign and attest the agreement with Martha and Mary 33' dedication Lutheran Church for the dedication of the easterly portion of CanDota by Martha & Mar~venue 33' for right-of-way. Msple to deny a petition for variation - until further material deferred could be reviewed and the Clerk was requested to place this matter on the agenda of the next regular meeting June 16th. Trustee Kilroy presented for first reading an ordinance granting a var- Jewel/Osco iation for the Jewel/Osco Building at Randhurst and requested the Clerk first reading to place this on the agenda of the June 16th meeting for final passage. FINANCE Mr, Robert L, Levette, representing Howard Johnson's Liquor License request for a Eed Coach Grill restaurant to be located, across from and north of the Mack Cadillac CorD. ~n Eand Road, appeared before the Fi~ce Cora~ittee. He was advised the property was currently zoned R-X and the petitioner indicated he would seek rezoning before requesting further considera%ion of the liquor license request. Finance Cormmittee requested removal from the charge sheet of the following matters: . "Amend Sec. ll.106 Exclude "Not for Profit Endeavors"; Purchase Central School Parking Lot for Library" (In current budget under projects #1-49); "Scot's request for liquor license"; and "Possible analysis of Village Government". An ordinance regarding Tag Days was withdrawn from consideration and was charged to the Fire and Police Committee for further study. JUDICIARY An ordinance rezonlng Kaplan & Braun's 7th addition from R-X to R-1 was presented for first reading and the Clerk was requested to place it on the June 16th agenda for final passage. An ordinance was presented amending Sec. 19.1, 20 and 31 of the Zoning Ordinance. The Village Attom~ey comnented on the amendments, and certain revisloD~ w~re made. Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved the Board concur with the Judiciary Committee and the Plan Conm~ssion for passage of the amendatory ordinsnce. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Furst KilrDy Norris Reiter Soderman Motion carried. The Clerk was requested to place the ordinance on the agenda for final reading on June 16th agenda. The Judiciary Co~.~.~ttee requested a recommendation from the Plan Commission regarding zoning classification uses such as stadia, arenee, athletic clubs and fields, terk~n~s courts, and private and semi-pl~ivate clubs. The Judiciary Cormrdttee nunsidered the frequency of holding Village Board meetings and reconm~nded that no amendments to the code be made. Village Growth Patterns - 1980: By way of status report, the Committee h~s determined that anticipated growth will be to the south and north only. Parking and other problems of the downtown area was considered, and ~rther reports will be forthcoming. June 2, 1970 Owner's resubdiOwner's Resubdivision of four lots in Verde Drive was referred to the Verde Drive Judiciary ~nommittee. This .resubdivisima is necessary because while the area in Hatlen Heights was still in the County, homes were erected and so located that they overlapped on adjoining property. The four property owners had submitted a tentative plat of resubdivison to the Plan Commission and were approved as _being in conformance with the Village Zoning Ordinance. The linen, before final approval, must be executed by the mortgage holders. OTHER BUSINESS -- An ordinance was presented regarding involuntarfy annexation at Central Road at Radd. Trustee Soderman, seconded by Trustee Ahem, ~oved to waive the rules requiring two readings-of an ordinance. Umanimous. Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to grant the Mount Prospect Baseball Assn. for Boys, Inc. permission to conduct their annual decal sale from Saturday, June 13th through Wednesday, June 24th.
