COF~IUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS
At the March 17, 1970 meeting a request from Chicago Federation of Aged Chic Fed. of
and Adult Charities to conduct a tag day on Friday May 8, 1970 was Aged & Adult
denied. Trustee Soderman brought out the fact that this is an official Chairities not
tag day in the City of Chicago and suggested the Board might wish to rebonsidered
reconsider the action. No motion was ~ade.

MP Library President Teichert proclaimed the Week of April 21, 1970 to April 18,
Week proclaime~970 as Mount Prospect Library Week.
The Village Manager repo~ted Crawford, Bunte and Roden would prep~u~e
Crawford, Bun-a Type II System program for the Village at a cost of $1,000 which would
te & Roden to fulfill the requirements for TOPICS funding and would consist of
prepare Type preparation of a street and intersection map with traffic counts and
II System accident frequencies, preparation of other data required by the State
of Illinois for coordination of grant requests by local governments.
Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved to authorize the
payment of $1,000 to Crawford, B~ute and Reden to prepare a Type II
System program for the Village of M~unt Prospect.

The Village Manager requested authorization to contract with the J. P.
J P Miller Co Miller Con~osny of Brookfield, Illinois to perform the necessary
to maintain maintenance work at Well #11.

Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Kilroy, moved te authorize the Vil-
lage Manager to enter into a contract with J. P. Mlller Company at
hourly rates of $36.00 per hour for two men and 614.00 per hour for
each additional man needed for maintenance work at Well #11, and that
the Village Manager report on a continuing basis, in any event not
later than the next Board Meeting, or when the 632,000 Maximin is
reached.

Pay Zie~ler CoThe Village Manager requested authorization to pay the Ziegler Con~mny
for work 620,227.10 as final payment for work performed in the development of Well
performed on #11. No action was taken, and the Clerk was requested to place, this
Well #11 item on the April 21, 1970 agenda.
The Village Manager requested authorization to purchase 2,800 gallons of
Elm tree spray material (Metho~fcBlor) from the Michlin Chemical Co.,
Buy Elm tree Detroit, Michigan for 67,168. Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Reiter,

Trustee Kilroy reported on the Finance Committee meeting March 16, 1970.
Trustee Soderman, Furst and Kilroy were present. ~he Finance Committee Class "R"
reviewed with Mr. Moser 8nd his Attorney, John F. ~aite of Arlington license for
HeiEhts, the application for a Class "R" license for Mk-Komo, Inc. Mk-Komo, Inc.
located at 905 E. Rand Rd. formerly known as Scot's Restaurant. The
Conmittee voted 2-1 to grant the Class 'R" license with the understand-
ing that all curb service facilities be removed. Trustee Kitroy, second-
ed by Trustee Reiter, moved to increase the Class "R" licenses by one,
and requested board concurrence, but that the ordinance not be passed
until the requlnements were met. Under discussion, the motion was
withdrawn.
Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved the Board concur in
the findings of the Finance Con~nittee, to increase the Class "R"
licenses by one, to allow issuance of a license to Mk-Komo, Inc. for
the premises at 905 E. Rand Road, on the condition the petitioners have
co~01etely removed the drive-in facilities and equipment, and have
met all other conditions of the ordinances.

Mr. Christie, of Bon-Ton Poultry, presented drawings of remodellin~ Bon-Ton Poultry
plaus for the restaurant formerly known as Farmer Cooper's. The plans remodelling to
were extensive, and the adwdnistration was assigned to review them. be considered at
Me. Christie will return to the Finance Committee meeting April 20th April 20th mtng.

Trustee Kilroy gave an interim budget report, and advised that there
would be a Fiua~ce Committee meeting on Saturday, April 25th. He
urged all members of the Board to study the proposed budget and attend
the meeting.

~he Judiciary Committee felt there is duplication in matters that originate duplicatic
at the Plan Commission and then go to the ~diciary Committee, or in from Plan Con~
the case of Board of Appeals petitions, they are referred to the Build- ~ Bd of Appeal

Certain conditions were reconmended to expedite matters and avoid such
repetition. Trustee Ahem, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved the Board
authorize the President to communicate with the Plan Commissien and
Board of Appeals advising them toembark on these procedures and elicit-
ing their cooperation.

Crawford, Bunte Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to authorize the
i& Roden Plans & Village Manager to enter into a contract with Crawford, Bunte and
specs for sima- Roden, Traffic Consulting Fngineers, for the purpose of preparing de-
alization Ce~tratailed plans and specifications for sigaalization of the Central
and NW Hwy Road - Northwest Highway intersection, the augiueering fee to be based
on a percentage of the construction cost, in accordance with standards
set for professional engineering., services.

Trustee Furst reported there will be five Safety Comrdssion items
that would be reported out on April 21st, and requested the Clerk to

OTHER BUSINESS
Ah ordinance amending Ordinance #2221 to correct a legal description
on Kaplan:~& Braun's annexatima o~ance was presented for first
reading and the Clerk was requested to place it on the April 21st agenda
for final reading.
Trustee Furst, secondedby Trustee Soderman, moved to waive the rules
requiring two readings of an ordinance regarding annexation of 2.67
acres at the southeast corner of Lincoln and Meier Roads. Unanimous.

A status report was given on Weller Creek - Stage IV. President
status report Teichert stated at the end of the week all easements and plats required
on Weller Ck. because of Stage IV will have beencc~,..pleted. The Legislature is in
~tags IV session at the present time and the Bill for Stage IV to allow monies
for that improvement is pending. It will require the administration
to move im~iately to obtain the easements. There are approximately
80 easements to be acquired.
Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to waive the require-
ment of two readings of an ordinance regsrd2Lng Subsec. B, Sec. 23,306
of Municipal Code re Water rates. Unanimous.
Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Norris, moved for passage of
Ord 2230 Ordinance #2230:
