FIRE AND POLICE

Bartmann's plat of subdivision was considered by the Judiciary Bartmann plat

Report by Trustee Soderman was deferred to the neXt regular m~eting.
Trustee Furst gave a report on the traffic study nde by Crawford, Crawford, Bunte &
Bunte and Rodin. Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Norris, movedRodin traffic stdy
that the Crawford, Bunte, Rodin report c~ traffic safety and contrO~accepted
be accepted.

Trustee Furst stated that there are priority items the Safety
Conmission suggests taken under consideration in the immediate fUture
and reconm~nded the Board read and study these reports along with
the minutes of the March 16th Safety meetl~g, and that the Clerk
place this rotter on the agenda of the next regula~ meeting under
the Committee Chairmen Report of the Public Health and Safety Comm.
Trustee Heiter, seconded by Trustee Furst, moved to waive the rules
for the purpose of discussing emergency repair to Well #11.

lhe Village Manager stated a report will be forthcoming for repairs emergency repair
to Well #11 at a cost of approximately $20,000. It will be necessary to Well #11
to determine the condition of the p~mp and impeller. Trustee Ahem, discussed
seconded by Trustee Soderman, moved to authorize the Manager to pro-
ceed with pulling the pump on Well #il, authorizing an expenditure
of the amours necessary to pull the p~m~o and replace the bowl aud
put it back in, plus bailing, but that bailing be reported to the
Board onee it is commenced, with recon~nendations of the ~irector of
Public Works and the Village Mauager as to the status of the bailing
as it continu2s on a day to day basis.

There are three northwest runways proposed, two of which go over
Mount Prospect. Because this is a subject of noise pollution it was
chsI'ged to the Public Health and Safety Committee for study.
The Village Attorney advised a suit is to be filed by Park Ridge
against the City of Chicago and he would investigate the possibility
of Joining with other co~nities so affected by noise to enter into
a lmwsuit.

Trustee Soder~an reported the Building Co. mdttee was chafing
Building Corem meeting nights with the Public Health and Safety Co~,,~dttee, so
changes nights that Building Co~dttee will n~et c~ the forth Wednesday of the
for W~rch mcnth, and Public Health and Safety will meet on the second
Wednesday of the month. The next Building Committee meeting will
be April 22. 1970. ~here will be no meeting of the Public Health
and Safety Com~ttee in March.
Trustee Soderman reported his co~,,~,~ttee would consider the

Public Works Trustee Norris reported Public Works ConmLittee would consider

regarding sewer permits (Kerzr~y).
